Assume a can of beer is 50 cents (a nice but not unreasonable price). Thus you would get 2,000 cans of beer . Aluminum cans are worth, at most, 2 cents each. Thus, the best possible refund would only be $40. Likely not even enough to cover the cost of gas hauling the beer to your house, the cans to be recycled and electrify to run the refrigerator. Even the Lucent stock beats that and you don't need a liver transplant afterwords.
