I have a subscription to her magazine. I love the recipes!

I am just curious to whether or not her cookbooks are worth it, or are they going to have pretty much the same recipes?

Haha, Chefgrille. I honestly hate her, too. =)

I have some of her cookbooks, and I definitely make (and re-make) a lot of the dishes in there. BUT, most of them cannot be made in 30 minutes, and she has some very unusual ingredients, some I can't even find at specialty stores. I would recommend looking through them at the bookstore and making sure that you will use the recipes in the books before buying them.

An easy way to save money: Buy her books on www.half.com. It is a website associated with eBay, where you can buy new and used books really REALLY cheap. This is where I buy most of my cookbooks for almost half the price as I would pay at a regular bookstore. I usually do research by going to the bookstore and looking through the books first... Just a thought. =)

you know, as aggravating as she's BECOME (i liked her when you didn't have to look at her face on every channel, every grocery aisle), the cookbooks are good.

i have one for recipes around the clock, and my friend had a good one that gave different recipes depending on how much time/energy you had to give a dish...i wouldn't buy the whole collection, though- the nice thing about her recipes is that they give me a good base to work from. like, if i wondered how to make a certain soup, etc, i could look up the recipe, and then modify it for the future for my tastes. i'm becoming a more experimental cook, though.

i would check them out and buy one. also shop around for deals- they're EVERYWHERE now, so don't necessarily buy the first one you see- i think that nabisco (whoever makes triscuits) is doing a mail-in offer, like you buy x amount of nabisco products, mail in the upcs and get her cookbook? look into it!

I have a couple of hers, and I subscribe to the magazine too. (Even though I hate her. :) But I don't see a lot of overlap, just a lot of chicken recipes.
