I'm not sure that is possible. I heard from a number of friends, co-workers and supervisors that have switched mid enlistment, but never retire (20 yrs.) from one service to join another. I do know once you have retired from the Army you may enter the Civil Service. I separated from the Marine Corps and became a Civil Servant working for DoD after a successful 13 year stint. Good Luck.

You are talking US, right?

If so, you can ...but don't expect for it to magically happen. The Air Force is a little more picky-choosey than the other branches, and they also say they are not hiring alot. You have to be persistent.....

That would depend on the needs of the Air Force. If they need your skill then probably. I only know you would not be able to go into the Marines.

Yep, no problem at all. Talk to the Air Force recruiter before you get your discharge. They will be happy to have you if your record is good.
