my 3yr old boy could count to 10 at the age of 2 but now he is finding it hard to count to 5.When i had my second child i had to share my time with both of them and now my second child is 2 in oct i have started again but my 3yr old just doesnt wont to learn anybody got any ideas.

Hes acting out subconsciously. He resents the new baby still therfore he is resisting learning from you. I understand that it is hard to share time with a new baby in the house but alternate with your husband or wife (dont know your gender) and try to spend equal amounts of time with the children. Dont focus all your attention on one kid

make the learning time fun like get blocks and ask him to count them or get some of those books that show about counting . good luck .

Try teaching them both at the same time. buy flash cards and preschool books (these can be found at Wal-Mart in the children book section). It will be both educational and you will be able to tech them both, and have them help one another along.
