Hey there....I have a pug the past 2 mornings, and on our late pm walk Duncan is acting like he doesn't even want to go out for a walk. I basically had to bribe him to come outside for a walk.
1) yesterday morning I had to bribe him out with treats. Then, he didn't even want to walk. He did his business, but it was about 15 feet from my place. I had to pick him up and bring him back in basically. When I go home from work though, he had no problem what so ever going out for his walk. But, then on his late night walk he pretty much pulled the same thing, but didn't even do his business.

2) This morning wasn't quite as bad, but I had to ask him to come out and when he did he was just being sort of moapy. He did his business though.

Is he being stuborn, sick, should I be concerned? He's not being lethargic around the house or anything. Nothing to me indicates he's sick. Him and my roommates dog were playing last night with each other, business as usual. He's eating fine too.

I think that maybe you need to voice your concerns with your vet as always he should be your no 1 source in the care of your pug. good luck .

If nothing indicates to you that he's sick, and if he's acting fine inside, then there's a good chance that he's not sick. There could be something different around your place as well. Dogs are very sensitive to their surroundings and he may sense a change. It could be anxiety from that change that's making him stay close to home or not even want to come out. During the day, he might feel safer which could be why he goes when you get home. Hope things turn out alright for you.

It sounds like you just got the dog, correct? If so, it is normal for them to act this way for a little while. They don't understand why they are in a new place and they usually get a little depressed until they become familiar with you and the new place. We just recently moved and all three of my dogs have been acting lethargic and even occasionally vomiting due to the stress of the move. What your dog is going through is normal and will go away. Just give him lots of love and attention!
If you didn't just get the dog, talk to a vet to see if there is something wrong!!

do you possibly live in an area where its hot right now? a lot of our patients are kind of showing the same ways because they get so tired and worn out with the heat and the extended day, that in the morning, its still a little warm, and they just want to sit and relax in the cool temps. however, you might want to consider seeing the vet. theres never an age on when a dog could get arthritis ( and even if he does have arthritis, it can be commonly treated with NSAIDS medication) also pugs are notorious for having breathing problems because of their brachycephalic snout. id give it a day, if you notice hes still a little "not himself" bring him in to the vet, it cant hurt! - good luck

Shaking, staying off via himself, basically clean staring, no longer ingesting or ingesting, torpid are all signs and indications that something is inflicting your canines severe discomfort. something occurred in between this afternoon and this night. What it is, i'm no longer a vet and that i could no longer assist you to recognize. no longer ingesting water motives dehydration which would be existence threatening if he's no longer rehydrated quickly. maybe his hip is hurting him from the Hip Displasia and you actual need to get him Neutered. i might take him to the vet now if he's been this way for countless hours. you would be able to desire to confirm precisely the place this discomfort is coming from and get it taken care of. in case you could no longer take him to an Emergency Vet now, then he's going to have a coarse time in discomfort, until eventually you're taking him interior the morning. something is heavily incorrect and you actual need to confirm what it is, so which you would be able to help him.
