It's real easy.
Eat breakfast every day. This will be your one chance to eat a scrap of bread for the day.
Drink nothing but water. Drink at least eight glasses of water a day.
Eat nothing but lean protein and fiber. No sugar, no carbs.
Exercise for at least thirty minutes every day.
Eat several small meals a day at regular times.
Don't eat after dark.
I lost 60 lbs. in about 4 months this way.

The diet I go by is 'when' I eat. I do not eat at random times and all over the day because that gets you nowhere but excess weight that you could have avoided. Set your eating times to meals...I do the Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner one but I started off doing Breakfast, snack, Lunch, snack, then Dinner but I decided that was way too much meals in one day.
Another thing to do is get yourself busy. Doing things prevents you from eating too much all the time. I'm alot more active in my community and stuff and don't have to have food as much ....only enough to not starve myself lol
Make sure you eat only healthy things that you will benefit from and not pay for ( stay away from fast foods, excess sugar, and salty foods) (stay with fruits, veggies, and all the benefits foods that is good but healthy too)
Also get a good mile each day of running or walking to lose calories and pace your heart. Crunches, jumping jacks, and push ups should be a daily workout and try fitting in any other exercise that you can access into your daily workout plan.
Hoped i helped

Above all you need to think practical. Yes playing tennis 2 or 3 hours a day would get you do lose weight but actually doing that is not realistic. Find a physical activity that is you really like to do; weight lifting for example. If you go to the gym get in and do 15-20 min cardio before you start lifting. I also like to walk alot; you burn more calories than you think. Try to eat a little healthier to but again be practical; you will not become a health guro overnight. You should expect to fail a little bit with your diet and excersie routines but keep at it.

You say that you have tried several times to diet in the past. This tells me that you lack the comittment that is needed to make any diet work. Realize that what put the weight on you was haphazard eating. You have to learn to improve your eating habits and become dedicated to a dietary lifestyle that you can stick with. No matter what the diet is, you should be able to do it always not temporarily.

Lately something has been working, when I didn't even try (that's how I get my best success, when I'm not even trying): I started losing weight when I started taking vitamins and all of a sudden my general food cravings stopped. I think the Reader's Digest plan, "Do one thing," one positive thing for your health, is a good idea. Think of what's good for you, and do one thing, until you're ready for another, and I believe your body will find its best weight. -- Oh. My neighbors are having great success with this: Rice and fruit, any kind, all you want, for three weeks. Then, start adding vegetables... (You can take it from there!) Best to ya!

Try to consult a doctor. Although exercising seems tough, it is the most traditional way and the most effective way of losing weight. Try swiming or jogging. I never gained weight no matter what I eat because I go jogging frequently :)
