That Amnesty bill is in the trash where it belongs! Illegals are still illegal and it's still illegal to hire them!

Hi Mary, well, not much happened, back to the drawing board and all that. The whole mess is just a darn shame. "TimeLine" NAFTA. The first mention of making North America an open market from Mexico to Canada, was 1979 by the Future President Reagan. He ran for President on that platform and won! I sure am glad I have no idea where the hell my family came form. I know two of my Grandparents came in through Ellis Island, don't know if they were citizens, never came up. I guess what I want to say is that in order to stop this nonsense, we must go back to the original paperwork approved , unaltered in 1979....Timelines....lie all ya want, but trust me, if you want the truth of what going on now. You must check your history. Personally, I miss my Mexican neighbors, I guess Grandma wasn't legal....

Nothing Happened.
Nothing will change till we have an administration who honestly wants to deal with a fair way of allowing others into this country.
All the walls and rednecks on the border will not prevent the continual flow of people just trying to live a good life.
Remember the Berlin Wall?

'o8 is going to be a good Year for EveryBody.
The Bush Reich will have finally Ended.
ThankGoodness!

does anyone know... Is there a lead ,in the Latino Community, as far as Who EveryBody is hoping will be our next President?

I'm kinda thinking I'll go with Hillary
(any thoughts on that, ppl? ), altho ,along her immigrations Lines, i think instead of discouraging businesses from hiring who they want to, there should be a daily taxing system and the Business is responsible for collecting and claiming taxes.
Also I don't know much about what the BorderPatrol Laws entail, so i'm not sure if i'd want them tougher or not.
i do know that a Fence is a Ridiculous Idea.
it's a waste of money,if you ask me.
Besides, i've heard that saying..." Bad Fences Build Bad Neighbors" .

I don't want to be a Bad Neighbor.

The votes were not there to bring the bill to the floor for a vote in the Senate. That killed the bill for now. It will be back after the next election. Illegal immigration and amnesty is supported by both parties.

The amnesty bill was voted down. Most of congress finally pulled their heads out of their butts and realized that the voice of the people was not going to quiet down on this issue. Now we need to focus on getting them to enforce the laws on the books today and focus on the border security that has already been approved.

The people rose up like never before and congress finally represented them. Now the house is trying to pressure the feds to enforce current law. Of course they won't, they never planned to - that's why the amnesty bill was all about amnesty from the beginning.

Are you referring to the immigration bill in Congress? It was struck down and will not become law.
