I am a religious person, but I'm not extreme by any means. I find it most interesting when people experience physical effects they claim are from some type of religious experience. This includes demon possession, speaking in tongues...I even saw a girl once who would walk really funny, like take two steps and then jump and then take two steps and then jump...she claimed it happened to her after she prayed. Like for some reason God is making her do this strange form of walking and she viewed it as a blessing.
I don't think all these people are frauds, but I do think that it's a psychological effect that they themselves are unconsciously causing and they chalk it up to a religious experience. That's what I find most interesting.

The Psychological effect fascinates me. I am an atheist, but I can't get over my fascination of people who will dedicate every fiber of their being, life and existence in something that is so absolutely vague, confusing and contradictory. Outside of pure faith, religion has absolutely nothing to base their beliefs in. Some will claim the bible, but recently the bible (The modern King James Bible) has been proven to be mostly falsified and made up by translators and scribes. (Read the book Misquoting Jesus)
Even with all the evidence of evolution and other sciences, people STILL insist on a sky fairy. Even though philosophy pegs such a god as impossible, illogical and contradictory...they still believe. That fascinates me.

Well the spiritual aspect is interesting to me because I have never been 'of' a religion but always outside looking in, so I wonder if my own spiritual experiences are the same as the religious people's experiences. I suspicion that they are so I am friendly to them when they speak of these things. I figure it is a difference of terminology only!

angels and the thought of entertaining them without knowing it.
i know a relative was in line at mcdonalds and a young boy was just asking for money, and he looked very poor, she bought him a meal, and went to hand it to him and he was gone?????? also, a young girl from my town was in an accident and had been on life support for a while, they were scheduled to pull the plug, a man who said he was a preacher came into the room and said"don't do it, give her a little more time" prayed over her, and she soon woke up. turned out there was no such person by the name he had given, and was not seen after that? that is 100% true---she is my student at school.

Right now, I'm focusing on the psychological. I find the mind-set that leads to some of the more bizarre beliefs to be fascinating. The mind is indeed complex and mysterious...

The angelic conflict. Once you understand that, pretty much a whole lot of other things start making sense, plus it's down right facinating.
