Soak your feet in hot water with 2c. of dissolved Epsom salts. Afterwards massage an analgesic cream into the area. This should help reduce the pain.

If it continues for more than two weeks you need to see a Podiatrist to find out what is causing the problem And to get relief.

Ok, I have a heel spur and can totally feel your pain! What works for me: daily soak in warm water (haven't tried adding Epsom Salts but I may based on someone else's answer!) I wear a neoprene ankle brace from Wal-mart when it gets REAL bad (I seem to twist my ankle and foot to avoid putting pressure on the spur) and I flex the top of my foot back several times a day, stretching that tendon or whatever runs along the bottom of your foot. I also NEVER go without shoes or slippers! I have Dr. Scholl's new heal pain relief inserts in my shoes and OMG they make such a difference! Hope I helped!
