1. God LOVES you and offers a wonderful PLAN for your life.
"God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life" John 3:16.
Why is it that people are not experiencing the abundant life?
2. Man is SINFUL and SEPARATED from God. Therefore, he cannot know and experience God's love and plan for his life.
Man Is Sinful
"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23.
3. Jesus Christ is God's ONLY provision for man's sin. Through Him you can know and experience God's love and plan for your life.
"God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" Romans 5:8.
4. We must individually RECEIVE Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; then we can know and experience God's love and plan for our lives.
"As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name" John 1:12

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an off hand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way
Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but its sinking
And racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in the relative way, but youre older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death
Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the english way
The time is gone, the song is over, thought Id something more to say
Home, home again
I like to be here when I can
And when I come home cold and tired
Its good to warm my bones beside the fire
Far away across the field
The tolling of the iron bell
Calls the faithful to their knees
To hear the softly spoken magic spells.

I'm going to fritter away my day doing for others, staying out of trouble helping my fellow man, being a just and honest person, and working hard and diligently. I won't spend it reading the New Testament.

That's good of you to try. Yes, sitting here at the computer makes us wonder how we're contributing to a higher purpose. Hopefully, if we answer a question that honestly helps someone, that contributes in a small way. But certainly we could contribute on a greater level.

I will continue to fritter away most days doing things that have no eternal value, but have value to myself, my friends and loved ones, and others important to me. The other days I devote to SLACK.

I think I'll just fritter away the rest of my day doing yardwork or housework; it may have no eternal value, but it's meaningful to me NOW!

Huh, I was going to keep working on developing new lines of antibiotics.
I never knew that I was frittering my time away.
Still I feel sorry for those folks with systemic antibiotic resistant infections. It really can be a pretty horrible death.
Oh well…
To each his own.
By the way…. What is it that you do?

Yes God does indeed have a "name" and His beloved son was Jesus Christ.
