i'm 16 and i've basically been off of my Zovia 1/35 birth control pills for 2 weeks. I had unprotected sex at the end of my period and then again the next weekend. while i was on my period i had no idea that the last 7 Birth control pills contained no medication so i took them and had sex thinking i was protected. Last week i knew i wasnt taking pills but still had unprotected sex. Could i be pregnant? I'm not spotting or anything but i am worried. Can somebody please give me some advice

Call your doctor
See if taking and not taking the pill will cause a delay
Yes you could be pregnant, I know people what never miss a pill, and got pregnant. They are not 100% aaffected against pregnant. Taking and not taking them, your chances are higher.
Good luck
Call your doctor, the doctor will know. Do not take advice on the Internet. Your down, or his nurse will tell you if what you did could make your period late, also if you could be pregnant

You could be pregnant. Birth control pills are only effective if you take them as directed. I don't know why you are asking this question. Obviously you knew you weren't taking the pills so you know you could be pregnant. You should have read the instructions that come with the pills, they tell you that the last 7 pills are inactive. You shouldn't be having sex because you are too young, but if you are going to do it, then you need to use condoms. You don't seem to be responsible enough to be on the pill, and the pill doesn't protect against STDs anyway.

While using birth control you are still protected even though last 7 pills are sugar pills, providing you haven't missed a pill. However, if it has been two weeks since you stopped taking the pills then you could be ovulating. It is common to ovulate right after stopping the pill. You can take a test when your next period should be due. I wish you luck, babies are a gift from God. I wish that teenagers today would stop and think how their actions may effect their life and others, like innocent babies and maybe not as many teens would be parents. I wish you all the luck. You can be pregnant. Pills are not 100% so it could happen even if you didn't miss doses. You should be using condoms as protection all the time b/c there are std's and so many things out there. You are only 16 years old. maybe you should slow down alittle.

Its possible but very very unlikely that you are pregnant... If you forget your pills for a day or two, follow the instructions below: * If you miss one pill, take the forgotten one (yesterday's pill) as soon as you remember it, and take today's pill at the regular time. Although you probably will not become pregnant, use your backup method until your next period to be safe. * If you miss two pills in a row, take two pills as soon as you remember and two pills the next day. You may have some spotting. Use your backup method of birth control until your next period. * If you miss three or more pills in a row, start your backup method of birth control immediately. Your ovaries may produce an egg (ovulation), and without a backup contraceptive you could become pregnant. Ask yourself, "Am I a good pill user?" Another method of contraception may be better for you. To continue your pills: * Take two pills for 3 days and use your backup method of birth control until you have your next period, OR Stop taking pills from your old pack of pills. Start a new pack of pills the Sunday after you missed three or more pills, even if you are bleeding. Use your backup method of contraception for the first 2 weeks that you are on your new pack of pills.

You weren't protected even when you were taking them, you have to take a full cycle of pills, have your period... and when you start the new pack.. you should be protected. So YES, you could be pregnant, and it sounds like you need to the doctor to explain the pills again to you.... and stop having unprotected sex.. its stupid. Forget pregnancy, that could be the least of your worries....do you want AIDS, herpes, HPV? You cant get rid of those, you know and AIDS is fatal... so good luck!

You can be pregnant even if you DONT take the pills, so most likely you could be, your only 16...you should calm down. You do not need to be having sex at that age, I've seen so many of my friends when I was your age, get pregnant, now they're life is over. My X best friend even murdered her baby, take time to enjoy life before you do things like this.
