Is it difficult to change them yourself? I can't see any high voltage wiring (or actually any wiring) where one would expect to find the spark plugs (near the exhaust manifold).

They are located just on the inside edge of the valve covers, they have an individual coil on each plug that is black and approx 2" in diameter. Just unplug the coil, use a 8mm socket to remove the retention bolt and pull the coil straight up, the plug is located right under the coil. If you have access to a few tools changing them your self is not that difficult, it is just a test of patience. By the way, avoid Autolite spark plugs, Ford seem to not like them.

I think what everyone is missing here is the plugs are on top of the heads along the intake manifold as opposed to the older style engines where they were down by the exhaust manifold. If you take a close look at the location of the back four plugs you might just want to have a shop do it. They are hard to get to!

find the coil pack usually on the top of the mintake manifold, follow thw spark plug wires to the plugs.. requires a 5/8 socket and extension and a ratchet handle. maybe even a swivel to make it easy. the wires might go behind the valve cover instead of over the top like older models.. start at the coil..and consider replacing the wires as well.. it is old enough..

There is a 5.4L engine. They have the cop (coil on plug) ignition. The plug is under the coil next to the valve cover. You need to remove the coil to get to them. good luck

It's a 5.4L and the plugs are under the coils next to each fuel injector.

Look for them... I would think they may be somewhere on the engine. Or as LT says, in the trunk, if you need to ask you won't know the difference.
