Son at 13 please stop thinking about death and think about life. You may, God Willing, Have years and years in front of you. Spend every day and every second though as if it may be your last. Live life to the fullest. That is the message of the Lord "I have come that you may have life and have it to the fullest".
God never asks us to be obsessed with death or the end times. In fact he tells us not to work about it. "No one knows the day or the hour".
Leave tomorrow for tomorrow, today has worries enough of its own
It's summer you are off from school, get outside get some fresh air and hang with your friends. Worry about death when you are 99

In the history of the world, the end of all things has been hovering over our collective heads since time's beginning. It has been predicted over and over and over by soothsayers and crackpots alike. In the year 999, people thought the end was coming in 1000. 2000 was the end of the world just a bit ago, then there was 2006. It just goes to show that some people are not happy unless they believe that divine judgment is always just around the corner. The part that no one talks about is where do these people dissapear to after they say the world will end and it doesn't. Don't listen to a word they say. No one can know the future because no one has been there yet! Soon after 2012 passes, I am sure that 2018 or so will be the next end times date and on and on from there.

Most likely you'll be dead long before the world ends.
The whole "New Age" 2011 is just another B.S. prediction for some wack-job idea about the "Universal Cycle." Apparently this new bunch of crazies thinks that in 2011, there is going to be some universal shift that will bring us to this Omega point, whatever that means. Supposedly it's based on the Mayan calendar, but they try to say that every ten years or so, and nothing has happened thus far. It's a load of crap! But there's a website full of this foolishness if you actually want to read about it...

I am not aware of the new age talk about 2011, so I can not answer your question regarding this. But the question about "will you die before the world ends, is interesting. I am 70 years old, and I have wondered about the end of the world , most of my life. When I die, this world ends for me. So thinking along these lines, everyone sees the end of the world when they die. Someone is sure to ask you, when do you plan to die? We would have to know this to even begin to answer your question. We all think we will live until a ripe old age. But in reality, we all don't. The beauty of being a Christian, is knowing that when our time comes, we are ready to meet our God. I hope you live to be 100, but most of all I hope you are prepared, so that when you do die, at what ever age, Jesus Christ is in your heart. I wish I was 13 again, I would sure do a lot of things differently. God Bless You.

Most people who care about such things put the year at 2013. But that's only when the Mayan\Incan calendar says that the Age of the Jaguar will end. There's probably more ages to come, but the Mayans figured on having another thousand years or so to work out an update.
Then this bunch of Spaniards showed up and they just never got around to it.
If I were you, I'd count on not seeing the end of the World. Nobody has so far.
"You will not know the hour of my coming. But, like a thief in the night, I will come suddenly."--J. Christ

In all probability, you will live a natural lifespan of approximately 76 to 82 years (on average) as most persons will do, unless you are killed in an accident, as a result of being in or around an armed conflict, a natural disaster or involved in an epidemic, etc.
You may live long enough to either witness a great deal of havoc and destruction wreaked upon the environment by humankind or you might even see a limited neuclear war take place. Such events could lead to you immediate demise or, at least, cause some serious difficulties for you. Other occurances could befall you as well.
Therefore, it is up to you to begin to work to prevent such things from occurring to the best of your ability.
What will you do, as whatever you do, even if you choose to do nothing, it will have a direct effect on you, your family and the rest of humanity?
Be active and be well.

I understand you. Many Christians such as the Baptists believe the world is coming to an end with lawlessness and world disorder increasing. Global warming, climate change and the rapid use of Earth's resources could mean the World could end either by Man or God's intervention. But this could be in 5, 10, 50, 100 or more years. Maybe humanity will turn it around and create a more sustainable Earth.

Relax. The sun's due to blow up in 5 billion years' time, which is the only true 'end of the world' in prospect.
It's possible that various religious fundamentalists will try to start a thermonuclear war before then, but hopefully they'll be thwarted. If you'd like to help stop them, become an atheist and help the struggle for a sane world.

First off all the end of the world conspiracy theories would say 2012, due to the Mayan calender, I ching, and other materials of that nature. But, in my opinion that is all over-hyped speculation, no one will know the day or the hour. So, while it is likely you will die before the world ends, it is not possible to tell you absolutely

Only God knows, no one on here can answer that.
I have heard 2010 due to the fact that a generation is 60 yrs and that when Israel became a nation that the last generation at that time would see Christ's return.
I don't buy into it. People have no way of knowing His return and to guess is futile. I think John Hagee is wrong on every level to make this claim and lead ppl astray.
