If so, why?

No town clown, that's not why. I asked because I have experience unfounded critizism here by Atheists directly relating to my beliefs, so I wonder why the hatred, that's all. I will defend...and I do know how.......but I will also ask relevent questions that I hope are non threatening, as I prefer peace.

You see Atheist Dino is an example of what I mentioned about unfounded critizism and intolerence also. Or ignorant Atheist Dino rather.

enemy? that's a strong word to use is it not?

Let me ask you, bearing your question in mind, is it because you believe that Atheists are the enemies of Christians? Just curious.

edit:

well then, that unfounded criticism is a two-way road do you not think? Granted, there are some Atheists on this site that openly mock Christian beliefs, but is it unwarranted? Sometimes so and sometimes not so, and the reverse is also true.

However, I'd also like to add that genuine criticism should not be confused with hatred/mockery.

Whilst atheists (generally speaking) would not consider Christians as enemies, they consider fundamentalist beliefs the enemy if you want to call it that, though I'd rather say, the antithesis of progression esp concerning education.

Most Christians are decent upstanding citizens, neighbors, and friends. It is only when they pass laws and try and force their religion on others that it bothers me. It also bothers me when other religions do this. I don't see much forcing of religion by religious groups other than Christians here in America, but I realize in other countries, other religions do the oppressing and Christians are on the receiving end of oppression in other countries. I believe discrimination, oppression and persecution of people for crimes of conscience is ALWAYS wrong, no matter which group is the victim or which group is the victimizer.

Do you consider atheists to be enemies to Christians, if so, why ?

I wouldn't say enemy, but I don't really like the ones that are trying to push their religious laws into secular laws. That and the thinly veiled bigotry toward certain groups from time to time.

But normal christians who state their beliefs but treat everyone fairly, I get along with them quite well.

All the bronze-age religions must fall. While individual christians are not 'my enemy' (and neither are muslims or jews for instance) I do believe these religions lend themselves to dangerous fundamentalism and left to their own devices they will fester and produce atrocities like inquisition and such. History has shown this many times over.

Atheists least concern is being the enemy of a Christian! If so why? Some people in sin like to throw fuel on the fire....God is not mocked.

Many of them are.

Theists, especially christians, try to control and restrict us based on their views. If all christians stop crusading against science, culture, art, sex and sexuality, religious freedom and such, and stop telling everybody else they're going to be tortured throughout eternity unless they join you, I assure you that you won't encounter nearly as much hostility.

Read Letter to a Christian Nation to learn about the horrific effects of christianity.

I think 'enemy' goes wayyyyy too far. I'm not Christian but not Atheist (Buddhist/Hindu) and I don't think of anyone as my enemy. That is a bit harsh.

No, not at all. I'm not fighting christians - why would I? I only wish that they don't pester me about their beliefs, and that they don't make them mandatory, or that they get government funding to support their beliefs or practices.

Well I think some of them wish to take science back to the middle ages. But I don't think they are overall.
