in this day & age i find it rather disturbing that a factory can mix a load of poison chemicals together & add them to tabbaco leaf then sell them to the public who will inhale this poisen into their lungs.
ive been a smoker for 10 yrs, iam in the process of quiting.
two days without a ciggie & iam already feeling the benefits of a non smoker (food tastes great, feeling 100% fitter,
no coughing, teeth getting whiter & breath smelling fresh....my question is, do you think the days of smoking will be a thing of the past in years to come

Congradulations! I wish you the best of luck!Be sure to start an exercise program to prevent weight gain.I quit about a year ago and I didnt gain any weight.Let me know if you need inspiration as it takes quite a while to get the nicotine out of your system.

If there is a market for garlic smothered in dark chocolate, then manufacturers will make it. Smoking will eventually be a thing of the past, like button boots, spittoons, and pen knives equipped with spikes for removing stones from horses hooves..

Cigarettes are made because there's been big money to be made by selling them. I certainly hope smoking will become a thing of the past, but it'll be up to individuals to stop buying cigarettes and put the tobacco/cigarette companies out of business.

omg. because people buy them, look, you did. money, money, money. states apply taxes for them. money, money, money. if people want to do it, let them do it. what do you care? you can quit, good for you. ever seen the movie Thanks For Smoking? you should watch it. it's good. it's all about rights and personal choice. phillip morris is a billion dollar company. do you think it's all from selling cheese? no, what's happening is, people are just making it illegal to smoke them anywhere. so, you can buy them, you just can't smoke them, right? just leave smokers alone. by the way, i'm not a smoker.

well they still make alcohol and thats just a poison as well.
I think in 20 years it will only be a very small minority of people who will actually still smoke, a lot of people i know only smoked because it was a social thing so i think the numbers will reduce very soon.

Yes, its a thing of the future..
As long as there are leaves here on earth, there's smokers..
Any leaves can be use as cigars..

no, people ( IN China,lndia e.t.c)are taking up the smoking habit by a factor of 24-1 to those who are quitting in the west.
