I got stitches in my hand almost a year ago and when the doctor was putting them in the skin got really rough and has lines in the scar. Is there a way to either get rid of or smooth my scar over?

I dare not say getting rid of it but there are lightening creams available in the market. Fade is one of them. But as with aromatherapy users, I will reccommend you to use Frankincense essential oil (6 drops to 10g pure shea butter unscented). Frankincense oil derives from resins of the plant and it's used to calm the spirit, aids in scar-healing and ageing skin. Shea butter (get those unscented online) is a very good moisturizer. I'm using it to keep my skin hydrated. There's no guarantee that your scar will go away but sure beats chemical creams!

You can buy some beauty products that can help to get rid your scar. Others are fake, but not all. So beware. (",)

if you go to local drugstore. they have a product theat I think is called mederma about 32 US dollars. I saw it in rite aid, walgreens , and cvs. Go to aisle with the band aid products.Ive known people to use it after caesareans and minor operations and it worked very well.
