I've been suffering from 'anxiety like symptoms' ie: nervousness and tremors, but every time I take any sort of medication to treat anxiety my symptoms become ten times worse even though I give time for the medication to work. I cant seem to take any sort of tablets, even a simple headache tablet or something like cod liver oil make my symptoms wose.
Please help

There are a number of diagnoses that can point to this type of "anxiety like symptoms". The only way to determine the cause is to have a complete physical exam. This would include a thyroid panel, blood sugar and some basic neurological tests. With regard to "any sort of tablets" making the symptoms worse, this points to something other than just simple nervousness. If your physician rules out any organic reason for these symptoms then it may be necessary to get some psychological testing. It may be that your fear of side effects is causing anticipatory anxiety and that may be why you feel the medication exacerbates your problem.... Best wishes to you

its normal that you feel like 10x more worse if on medication it takes time but why wanting to make yourself depending on medication in the first place? Why not belief in the healing powers inside yourself espec a peaceful mind.tell yourself that the reason you live is not to suffer but the reason is to be happy every day like a prayer it will be more helpful than any kind of medication.ofcourse to rull out any illness by medical check up might also give you some peace of mind.if your body reacts so strong against medicine it is rather simple You dont need it and the nervousness might be caused that you just use your energy in the wrong way against yourself instead as using it as a tool, an extension to deal with all life-situations but i feel the answer is inside of you ,learn to listen and dont be afraid of the silence.Self -help books can come to some enlightment.

Too much caffiene or sugar in your diet.

High blood pressure.

Depression.

Just about every illness can cause you to suffer from tremours and feelings of nervousness. Speak to a doctor and explain. It could be a fear of taking the tablets. Many people are unable to swallow the buggers!

I recommend you speak to a doctor anyway, just in case.

You shouldn't be asking anyone on this site about something like you have which could prove to be dangerous. It could be due to the drugs you are taking. It could be due to a nervous disorder. You must see a doctor, preferably a neurologist to determine what is wrong. Do not play around with this illness. It could be serious.

Remember caffinared drinks or coffee or chocolate overdone can cause this, but a doctor maybe an easier way to go. Thats why you go check up on a problem loke this. Your b/p could be high and a med could help!Go!
