bcz there is no other place for them to go. i used to live in palestine and i got kicked out of my own country..i hope one day i will be able to kick them out...or at least have some peace!!!

Israel still occupies the Palestinian territories becuase there is no peace partner with which Israel can negotiate a peace deal+withdrawal. When Israel tried withdrawing without a peace partner, it just created more violence (see Gaza, Southern Lebanon). This justifies why Israel is still there today, but does not address why it was ever there at all. Israel originally occupied those territories because they were a launching ground for attack against Israel, and thus for Israel's own protection it could not let those areas fall back into enemy hands. Israel has shown throughout history that it is willing to sacrifice great swaths of land for peace, be it accepting the UN partition plan (sacrificing more than half of what was promised under the Balfour declaration), to giving up the Sinai to Egypt for peace, to withdrawing unilaterally from Gaza. However, the time is not right and the conditions not met for Israel to withdraw from the West Bank.

Unfortunately at this it has been repetitively demonstrated that the Palestinians are either unwilling or unable to currently coexist peacefully next to the state of Israel.
If the Palestinian territories were to be free of Israeli occupation tomorrow. This would jeopardize the security and safety of the state of Israel and its citizens.
As such Israel must regrettably continue to occupy these areas in order to protect its own citizens. This tragically leads to great hardship and pain on the part of the Palestinians, and until such time the Palestinians are willing or able to accept and live next to a Jewish state of Israel. The occupation will continue.

I think the Israeli leaders and the Israeli lobby are making a good business out of occupation and wars. Real peace is the last thing in their minds.

Israel doesn't occupy the Gaza strip and look what happened there? Why don't the Egyptians move back in? I think the facts support why Israel needs to defend its boarders.
