3 months after it heals..

Always give a broken bone 6 weeks to fully heal, especially your hand if you're going to box. THEN-make sure you have sufficient strength built back up in your wrist, and make sure you've worked any stiffness out of your' wrist too. The younger you are, the faster you heal, but don't start again until your' wrist can withstand the impact of throwing punches-it will be weak from being in a cast for so long.

depends how tough you are and how bad the break is

i once punched a steel phone box in a drunken argument with an ex ............... broke the right hand for the second time,
never went to doctors or hospital due to problems trying to avoid getteng sacked from my job, so just wrapped it up and got on the pain killers ,

i kept training just improving the left jab n hook,
after 3 weeks i was able to throw very soft straight rights, few and far between and kept progressing very slowly untill it started getting better , it was a good 3 or 4 months before i could start letting the full power , tyson combinations go.

1 year later , the hands fine now but it looks a mess, but i have 100% full use, and no pain , and hit the bag 3 to 4 times a week , it just looks ugly,

i recommend getting it in plaster and taking 2 months off

Never rush the healing of a broken bone, but normally if everything is right you should be able to box in about 6 to 8 weeks

In six weeks they say a bone can heal, however boxing isn`t day to day usual activities. Give it a few months.
