Sounds like a scam. Read about phishing.

No legitimate lottery would use a Yahoo email address to notify winners. In fact, no lottery would notify winners via email. This is an increasingly common way that scammers use the 'advance fee' fraud. You'll be notified that you either need to pay 'taxes' up front to collect your "winnings" which you never get, or you get a fake check to deposit from which you need to send back a certain percent, and when the check bounces you are out the money.

Either way, the only way to win is to delete and forget the original email.
