I actually heard that getting a tattoo on the inside lip doesn't hurt as bad as people think.

ok bad idea! not that it will hurt that bad. and im not saying im against tattoos ( i have one that ive got 5 hours of work on and im still NOT done!!) but anyways the only reason i say its not such a good idea is because ur tattoo will not last. it ill fade and rather quickly actually. ull spend the money go through the pain and end up with a badly faded tattoo next year!. ive been wanting to get my lip tattooed too, but i just know its not gonna last, and who wants a tattoo thats just gonna fade away? i know i dont. BUT if u wanna get it done i fully support it. i think its one of the coolest places to get a tattoo.

My brother decided to do that .. Get a tattoo on the inside of his lip .. He said it took them 5x to get the ink to actually take and it hurt like hell ... This is a guy who has a huge dragon tattoo on him and almost lost his leg in a motorcycle accident saying it hurt, so I'd say YES it really hurts.

Very painful. Have you ever bitten your own lip? Well multiply that by one hundred or more. I was gonna give you another example but FlyWho already told you. Tattoo? Don't do it!

i have heard it hurts a little ... make sure you go to a place that knows what they are doing... it shouldnt fade .. maybe only a little if it fades alot then they did something wrong or you didnt listen to there instuctions on what not to do while it heals... i know people that have them and they have had them for over a years no fading at all.. good luck

Here's a simple test for you:
take a sewing needle, clean it very well with rubbing alcohol, let it dry.
Then stab yourself repeatedly in the lip.
How bad does it hurt?

I have one and i love it. It was pretty painful, but it only takes seconds form them to do it, so it is totally do able. I have had it for 12 years and no fading. and it heals fast with basically no care. Do it! It's awesome to show it to people

oh my gosh girl!!! if u bite ur lip and it hurts like hell.....then umm....maybe u shouldnt get a tattoo! dur!
and who like tattoos on lips anyways?
and itll probably get infected easilyer and ull have chapped lips and stuff.
just dont do it.

i can imagine that it does since the skin in your lip is very thin and sensitive
