I have about 6 boxes of rice sitting on my kitchen shelf. I would like to donate them to charity. Does anyone know of an organization that would pick them up, or where I can take them to? Most organizations only accept clothing, appliances and furniture. I am looking for one that accepts food. Please help.

Your local food bank would gladly accept them all. You can find it by phone, internet or sometimes your local churches and grocery stores have a Food Bank box where you can leave your donation in. In Canada, at the Safeway they have a box and we can put our items there from home or add them to our grocery bill and leave it with the store.

Good for you! I admire your generosity!
