Not ALL guys, but for an example:
Say a guy and a girl are "Friends with benifits", the female is more likely to gain feelings for the man. For me as a female, if I am intimate with someone, it is someone I have feelings for. Otherwise, I would feel totally violated.
But for many guys, it seems much easier to keep it strictly sexual, even if the person means nothing to them.
I have a wonderful boyfriend who I love and loves me, so it's not really something I am dealing with now. I am just curious to hear a few opinions!

I understand there are many girls like this, but when you look at the tendencies of male and female, it is more common for the female to develope feelings faster, and the male to stay emotionally disconnected.

thats the way mother nature decided it would be - women would have the emotional capability to feel, and men would have the easy, unemotional, i-rule-the-world side of things. but guys DO feel - as hard as that is to imagine. theyre just clueless about "expressing themselves"

We are hurt so many times we get emotionally numb from too much rejection. Men need sex it is like air water or food so we don't have much choice in the matter. If we could get married sooner in life then we would be better emotionally. We have to wait allot longer for romance than women do and we have less choices than women do. Sex without emotion makes us even more disconeced with what we feel.

There is a very simple explanation to your Question....
It has everything to do with how differently Men and Women are "wired" in terms of the Brain and how they are Raised by their parents....
For example, young girls are taught by their Mothers (or the equivalent) to look for someone to marry, settle down, and have kids...I call this "The Cinderella Syndrome"....They were raised to use emotion to get what they want in life..
On the other Hand, Men are not taught by their fathers (or the equivalent) to get married....Alot of them tell us to be very suspicious of Women...We were also taught that any sign of Emotion makes you a weak man....We were raised to Work our Butts Off and look at Life as a Business because everything else is Meaningless (especially someone's emotions)...This is why alot of women are mad at Men....For example, if a girl asked her Dad for some Money, he will give it to her....But if a boy asked the same Dad, he would say "Get a JOB"....
In terms of Sex, Men are wired more like the Male Animal Species....We just have sex/reproduce and just leave.....Animals have very little feelings because they are NOT wired Socially like Humans....This is where alot of the Confusion and disappointment Women have with Men...
I don't know if I'm explaining this like a Dr. Phil or someone like him, But you asked for the Truth and I am giving it to you "Straight Up"....

honest question - have you ever developed sexual feelings towards some people (and suppressed them as long as you could), but at the same time never felt like wanting to have a serious relationship with them? If you haven't felt in this way, then casual sex is not for you.

guys brains are wired a bit differently then girls. we crave multiple sex partners and are generally less emotional. it's just nature.
