How can Jesus forgive sins unless He is God himself?

I cannot forgive sins against you. Only you can forgive sins against you. What is your opinion?

The Bible clearly states that Jesus and God are one and the same yet seperate. It is not our place to question this because our minds are too simple to understand.

god doesn't care about sin we do . and we should work more at preventing sin then curing the cause and rehabilitating through forgiveness not for god but for us.It takes both you and I to forgive sin along with atonement to live without sinning over and over again.
Jesus forgave sins because he decided lend his heart to forgiving rather than vengeance or punishment . he who is w/out sin cast the 1st stone and go and sin no more were actions anyone enlightened could have had the courage for.
Buddha prescribed the same as well as Confucius many years prior to Jesus . Jesus also said greater things would be done .
clear your conscience and drop the guilt trip from cursing others and the world has a chance of improving or you make your life a hell on earth . think about it .

New Testament defines sin as a transgression of the Law, Gods ten commandments.
Jesus is God manifested in the flesh so He can rightly claim to forgive sin.
But if the Law was nailed to the cross as some falsely claim, there must now be no such thing as sin.???? Right??

First you should understand that "your sins are forgiven you," doesn't mean that you can forgive yourself.

That means your sins are erased or taken away from you. God and Jesus remembers them no more. They are no longer the sins that you will be judged by.

Jesus is not God, they are two separate identities.

Also, there are two types of deaths, one is physical which is what happens when we die and leave our bodies here on earth. The other death is a spiritual death, which happens when we are not worthy to enter into the kingdom of heaven and we are permanently cut off from the presence of God.

Jesus is able to forgive sins because he made the ultimate sacrifice for all of us. He gave his life for every single human being that lived on this earth, is living on this earth, and will yet live on this earth. He took upon himself the sins of the world.

Just pause here for a second and think about that, someone, who was very close to God took upon himself ALL THE SINS of the WORLD, past, present, and future sins.

He was perfect in every way, we all know that, he had absolutely no sin upon himself from himself, yet he went and took all of our own upon him so that we didn't have to suffer a spiritual death. Of all the people that COULD make it back to heaven, it was Jesus because he was the only begotten of God. He was perfect, God and Jesus new it would be impossible for the rest of us to live to that standard. Jesus, through his sacrifice created the spiritual link between us and God so that we do not die a spiritual death, but had the chance to repent when we made mistakes and committed sins.

We owe it to Jesus, God is simply the person who created us and wants us back to live with him, but we need to show him by our spiritual cleanliness (if you will) that we want to live with Him again in Heaven forever. Jesus is our mediator, our advocate to the Father.

That is the greatest lie and deception the church has perpetrated ever since the 3rd century. For that she will perish. People are not that stupid anymore.

It negates the Law of Cause and Effect. What is easier for the dumb and gullible to understand and follow??? Forgiveness of sins and then start fresh again until the next confession etc. A perfect tool to ensnare and enslave. The church reserved salvation and heaven exclusively for herself.... through lies and deceptions!

Belong to us and you don't have to worry about hell that much as long as you remember us in your wills.

Sins occured in time - in the past. It is logically impossible to erase any consequences of any sin committed. The Matrix would simply collapse and creation would end up in Chaos..

Jesus was God's spokesman.
He had full authority from Jehovah God.
It was power given TO Jesus that he was able to perform miracles.
In the same 'vein, Jesus in turn gave authority for his disciples to heal people and even resurrect them.
The power was ALL from Jesus' Father in heaven, Jehovah God.
(Matthew 23:9-10) Moreover, do not call anyone YOUR father on earth, for one is YOUR Father, the heavenly One. 10 Neither be called ‘leaders,’ for YOUR Leader is one, the Christ.

Jesus directed all worship to his Father.

One may suppose that Jesus was speaking for god at the time. Or, one can suppose that the entire concept of god, Jesus, sin, and redemption is nonsense. The latter suits me.

Sin is a separation from God. Of course, one can argue that because God is omnipresent, we cannot actually be separated from Him. True.

So imagine if you will, the entity called a "soul" as being attached to God with a cord, or spring. Now stretch the spring and it is under duress, or stess.

Same for the soul that "stretches" itself away from God as it identifies more with the senses and ego self.
