okay. This very cute and totally awesome and hot guy from school asked me out.. I am so totally in love with him for over a year.. We're going out tomorrow night and it's my first date... not just with him... but with ANYONE... its my very first date and I'm so DAMN nervous!!! We're both only 14.. and we're both shy!!!!!!!!!! I am so nervous! soo sooo nervous! God!!! I dont know what kinda clothes to wear or even how to just..... TALK TO HIM WITHOUT MELTING!!!! guys, I really need help.. Im really nervous and I know I'm only 14, but I'm sure I'm in love with him... I dont wanna spoil the night.... HELPPP!!!!!!!!!!

okay guys, my friend JUST called me and said that he found out he feels the same way about me!!!!!! which makes me even more nervous (not sure why!!).. okay okay! this is an oppurtunity of a lifetime!! he's soo hot and cute... and we have a lot in common.. ALOT in common.. we're both in rock bands, we both love bullet for my valentine... so it should go pretty smooth but the thing is, he is also shy and I think I have to make the first approach...... how do I get him to do things ?... like, hold hands or something? :S... HELPP!!!!! ONLY 18 HOURS LEFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He probably feels much the same way. Since you recognize that you are both shy. Then embrace that as something really good. Recognize that for him it took a lot of guts to ask you. So its going to require the same courage for about the first ten minutes.

After ten minutes or twenty the nervousness goes away.

Wear the same style of clothes that he knows you in. You can overdress for the occasion. Just wear your favorite good but casual wear.

And what you are feeling at the moment is infatuation. That is not really love okay. But its fun.

First off , KEEP CALM sweetie, Im sure he's just as nervous as you especially if he has told your friend that he's into you too. As about the hand holding, if your not sure, then take it slow and if he doesnt take your hand or put his arm around you, dont think its your fault or he doesnt like you, he is probably just terrified he'll do something wrong and you wont like him. Hahah, just enjoy yourself and be the cute 14 year old you are, you'll be just fine. Let him know verbally that you are a little nervous and whatnot.

By the way, guys do not understand anything unless you tell them bluntly, don't try to "show" you are nervous, just tell him! Just be yourself and hope he likes you for who you are. Since yall go 2 the same school, you can talk about that, or music and movies. He is problably nervous just like you, so just be relaxed around him and that's how he will be too. Wear a cute but casual outfit hmmm...depends on where you are going. I'm sure he's JUST as nervous as you are, so don't worry that much! I don't think he's going to notice you if you look/act nervous, because he'll be worrying about himself. Just dress casually (but not too casually...a summer dress, flats, and a chic bag would be perfect), and act like yourself. It'll be hard at first, but after a while, both of you will warm up. Don't put on too much makeup or anything; just put on the usual amount, with maybe just a spritz of perfume in the background.

You're putting too much pressure on yourself. First dates are always a little awkward because you're getting to know each other. Just try to enjoy the company and whatever activity you are doing. Make sure you manage to talk with him on your date though. If you can manage that then everything should be fine.
