Some of these seem pretty solid, but then there are a lot of stupid ones. People, if it says Jesus walked East in Examples chapter one, and West in chapter two, its not a contradiction, it means he went BOTH directions, one after the other.
Also consider that God is dynamic.
Example 1: Beastality, Incest, and Homosexuality were all O.K. until Leviticus was written, but it wasn't after then.
Example 2: "Eye for an eye" was the law of the Old Testament, but Jesus changes that to "Turn the other cheek" in the New Testament. It's not a contradiction, the new law superceeds the old law.

There are lot of contradictions in the Bible, I am just going to name and explain only four of them
1) According to the Bible, Book of Genesis,
chapter 1, verses 11-13,
Vegetation was created on the third day along with seed-bearing grasses, plants and trees; and further on as per verses 14-19, the sun was created on the fourth day. How is it scientifically possible for the vegetation to have appeared without the presence of the sun, as it has been stated in the Bible?
It also says light is created on the first day where as the source of light 'The Sun' is created on the fourth day. How is this scientifically possible?
If Bible is the word of Divine God He should not make mistakes while describing evolution. Check it yourself.
2)Measurement problem in the Bible according to
Kings 7:23 "He made a molten sea, ten cubits from the one brim to the other: it was round all about, and his height was five cubits: and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about." Circumference = Pi() x Diameter, which means the line would have to have been over 31 cubits. In order for this to be rounding, it would have had to overstate the amount to ensure that the line did "compass it round about." According to the Bible the value of Pi is 3 which is incorrect.
3) The Bible suggests the Earth is flat according to Matt 4:8: " Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them." Unless the world is flat, altitude simply will not help you see all the kingdoms of the earth.
4) According to Bible Fowl has four legs.
Lev 11:20-21: "All fowls that creep, going upon all four, shall be an abomination unto you." Fowl do not go upon all four. There has not been any fossils of winged creatures found that has four legs. So therefore, it is not very accurate in describing Biology.

The Bible has been translated who knows how many times into many different languages. Most of the time by hand under poor and tedious conditions. Many of the truths have been changed in error or intentionally altered or removed. Changing even the simplest of words can completely alter the meaning of a sentence. Changing a sentence can completely alter the doctrine.
The Bible is the word of God and is without error or contradiction as far as it is translated and correctly.
Many of the seemingly contradictory passages stem not from the wording of the bible but from the misinterpretation of it. It can be difficult to tell what to take literally and what is a metaphor. Also it can be difficult to understand certain metaphors without understanding the life, conditions, and cultures of the time.

If there was, and I do not believe there is, but say it was.
I thought this when I was a new Christian. I ask God to help me. Because He has the truth. I said God I don't want to live a lie and there is so many religions out there. So if this is the real word then help me because I am new at this. And He did.
I was reading this verse...Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
And I for real!!! saw the pages breathing. I had peace all over me. Or I would have freaked out. Only I read it in a different version. It said the word of God is living<----NKJ

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
So now know matter what I know it is real and if I do not understand something I ask God to help me undertand.

If there was one indisputable contradiction the atheists would jump all over it. 20 of them would recite it to you. The ones that they like to site are genealogy's. Jesus has 2. One from Joseph and one from Mary. They call that a contradiction. The creation. It says God created everything, then it goes back over it again, that isn't a contradiction. To claim that the Bible is a man made fraud and then say that 2 consecutive chapters contradict themselves is ignorant. The Bible is 100% true.

Of course there are discrepancies in the bible it was written by man.they all interpreted things differently and from their own slant. many were not enlightened enough spiritually to totally comprehend what was being revealed to them.i think it is a monumental mistake to take every word literally, but rather take the teachings of Jesus as a wonderful philosophy to live ones life by.

The requirements just to get into heaven are contradictory, according to all the statements attributed to Jesus in the Gospels.
For example, you've got to follow all the commandments including honor your mother and father, yet you must also hate your life and family and give all that up to follow him.
So which is it? Love or hate? Honor or dishonor?

The Genesis 1 and 2 are not contradictions, they are different aspects of the same event, except Gen 2, tells where God palced Adam and Eve, and informed us of their surroundings... it is the more personal story of Adam and Eve it would have been the one they told their children as they knew it, and God revealed the Genesis 1 to Moses who is the writer of Genesis...
Other "contradictions" people will state is that did judas and himself or disembowl himself, this is answered when one understands how one hanged themself in Judas era. People would tie a fope around the base of a tree near a clift and take a running jump of the clift, which would cause them to be hanged and disembowled when they hit the clift wall...
etc....

If you can't find them then don't worry about them...I have a hard time finding them too...The people that say there are lots of them, tend to say what they want to believe, if you want to read a great book by a former Atheist who tackles some of these "contradictions" check out the Case for Christ...I don't remember the authors name..but he is now a Christian after interviewing Christians and Non- Christians from a journalists perspective...great read and it will help you with some of these "contradictions"
