If you shave all the way, you better be prepared to do it daily.
When the stubs grow back, they are ANNOYING!
So it's summertime. Just trim around your bathing suit, leave the hair close to your vulva alone.
It is better to wax or use hair removers than shave. Trust me, the stubbles kill.
I have been using an emjoy depilator. It's an upgrade of the wicked 'epilady' and works much better.
After a few years of fairly regular trimming in the summer, I only do touch-ups now because my bikini line has shrunk due to the hair follices, eventually just not growing back.
Had I shaved, I would still feel the stubbles.
Some say it is not true that hair grows back stronger and expands after shaving, but if it only grows up like sharp little thorns in the original area, that's bad enough.
Why do we shave? to look and feel 'more feminine' Well, I don't see how a 5-o'clock shadow in the crotch accomplishes that :D

Hey!
Don't worry-you're not lame at all and it's totally understandable to be worried. If you start shaving downstairs your hair will definitely not grow any higher. However, shaving there does mean your skin area could get irritated and you could develop red lumps. Try not to shave everyday or too much, only when you need it. Shave a few days before going swimming, and apply a soothing skin lotion afterwards. Good luck!

No after your body matured, your pubes won't spread out no matter how old you get and how many time you shave, but the thickness and speed of groth may increase. there is a shaving gel just for your bikini zone to avoid the bumps, although I am sorry to say that I forget what it is called, it is in a little bottle and it is a blue gel.

no you will not get more hair. in fact, in time the hairs that you do shave fall off in their normal shedding cycle and then grow anew. of course, now there is no "cut" end to the hair.

its a myth that hair grows back thicker if you shave it. can you imagine how many bald men would shave thieir heads to regrow thinker hair.

all you get is stubble for a while that in time goes back to how it looked before you shaved.

and yes, do it right like the other answers say. dont do something that will cause bumps and pimples and stuff.

hey, i got more points....what will i win?

If you really want all the hair gone, go for a Brazilian wax, because it gets really uncomfortable when the hair grows back from shaving.

I suggest you only shave the bikini line, where hair might show, and only shave in a DOWNWARDS direction, so that hair doesn't grow back uncomfortably.

No it won't grow higher but at first it will itch like crazy in some spots and you need to keep up with or it will keep itching. It also helps to trim it as short as possible before shaving bare. Also make your you moisturize, it helps with itching when it begins to grow back.

no...it will only grow back in the areas where you shave. So if you don't have pubes on your belly button now then you won't grow any later on.

Maybe I'm too old (mid 30s), but the 14 or so girls / women (18+, of course) I've been prior to meeting my now wife with all had pubic hair, though this was in the late 80s to mid 90s.

But when I scan porn like captain stabbin, *** fiesta, etc it seems that the vast majority of the girls (normally aged 18 to 22 or so) are completely shaved (while the women (35+) at MILF hunter have pubic hair).

Fiest of all do not shave it wax it
if you shave it your pubes will grow coarser and it will stick out really nasty and you will have hairs that are growing inside your skin and if you have sex no dont shave
