Judges 16 (1-3) Samson and the harlot at Gaza.
Now Samson went to Gaza and saw a harlot there, and went in to her. When the Gazites were told, "Samson has come here!" they surrounded the place and lay in wait for him all night at the gate of the city. They were quiet all night, saying, "In the morning, when it is daylight, we will kill him." And Samson lay low till midnight; then he arose at midnight, took hold of the doors of the gate of the city and the two gateposts, pulled them up, bar and all, put them on his shoulders, and carried them to the top of the hill that faces Hebron.

Yeah, but it is also clear about taking the non-virgin (determined by their husband) to the front door of her father's house and stoning her to death.
If you question religion, you are practicing religious philosophy....if you don't question religious philosophy, then you are practicing religion.

i'm Jewish, and right here is my handle it. at the beginning, we are no longer taught to do some thing interior the Torah except human beings have been doing it. So, apparently there have been adult men who have been marrying females and looking out they did no longer like them. as a manner to break up, between the events has to interrupt the marriage settlement made between the persons. using fact the settlement hadn't been broken, the guy could declare the female wasn't a virgin on the time of marriage and this could be a breaking of the settlement. The blood on the bedsheet has been used for the time of background as a info of virginity, yet there is a few thing hidden interior the final part of the passage the place the female could be stoned as accountable of adultery if she wasn't a virgin. the concern is, that as a manner to be convicted of a capital crime (which the shortcoming of virginity could be) there had to be 2 or 3 witnesses no longer in regards to the claiment or one yet another who have been especially finding for the crime to be dedicated, observed it and then testified precisely the comparable in all information in regards to the crime. As you will locate it may be very almost impossible to get a stoning and it purely got here approximately possibly as quickly as each and every hundred years for any crime. So, the husband could be left in a very almost impossible subject to tutor that the female wasn't a virgin. everybody is familiar with that females who experience camels regularly destroy their hymen. it may take place with any workout to a pair females. Now the guy is left with a quandary. he will now no longer be able divorce this lady for any reason, and he has to furnish very much of wealth to the father. meanwhile the female has the choice to divorce the guy, pass back to her father, and spend the husband's wealth. Now, understanding the implications, the guy does no longer be tempted to declare the female wasn't a virgin on the time of marriage purely to get out of a marriage to a woman he hated. Wasn't having sex the marriage ceremony back then. If you took a woman, then you WERE married? I'm not sure. But then again, Samson was alway led by his 'ahem' back then, look at what happened with Daliadah, or however you spell that name in english.

You think thats bad read this: (Deuteronomy 22:28-29 If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay the girl's father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the girl, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives.
So basically if a virgin gets raped she must marry her attacker for the rest of his life

The first problem is that you cannot use any passage in the bible to prove anything: it has too many errors, as well as internal contradictions, to be useful for any purpose. The second problem is that the passage in question has nothing to do with virginity.

One: it protects paternity. If a woman has premarital sex she could have an illegitimate child. Two: the Bible was written by men.
