Hello my young sister in the truth so you had a rough day in the ministry huh? Dont worry the good thing about it all is that thankfully Jesus warned his disciples that these would take place like lillie said remember Matthew 10:11-15. Is what i always read to encourage me because i sorta dont like it when they reject like that but he specifically said in that scripture Wherever anyone does not take you in or listen to your words, on going out of that house or that city shake the dust off your feet Truly I say to you It will be more endurable for the land of Sodom & Gomorrah on Judgement Day. The thing is this is written in their bible also. (((What other religion World wide is known for going from house to house? None as well as the witnesses, we are world known for such & they still dont see the fulfillment of this scripture,)))) Oh i forgot according to 2 Cor. 4:4 someone is blinding the minds of the the unbelievers... ok i feel better now.. so i showed the Matthew 10:11-15 scripture to a lady at work that said she hid from 2 witnesses yesterday morning & i explained to her that according to Matt 25:31-46 that Jesus is doing a separating work from the sheep & goats we're just doing what the bible told us to by delivering the message, well after she read Matt 10 she said she didnt know that & that the next time the witnesses come she was gonna listen
.
The point is every one is not gonna listen, In the ministry Jesus & his apostles knew that they were gonna come into contact with people of different religious beliefs than his but the ones searching for spiritual things WOULD listen, thats why i go out in the ministry to find such ones. Im not gonna force or push something on someone that doesnt want it but i Love my neighbor & I dont want them to say well we didnt know or we werent warned, like in Noahs day, they took NO NOTE Is what got them killed. & he said the same way it will be when the Son of Man arrives.
In Service you may not find but one interested person but when you do. Think of it this way In John 6:44 Jesus said no man can come to him unless the Father, who sent me draws him. Consider your self fortunate sister! Leap for Joy! The almighty Father in Heaven has drawn YOU to his son Jesus Christ, Just keep up your meeting attendance, daily Bible reading, & Study & you will know more than any member of Babylon the Great Ever could, because of humbleness. Just continue doing good & If youre ready-- have your mind made up, & at your next convention get baptized.
I have brotherly & sisterly love for you all.

Hey there my dear sister!
I do know what you mean! While at first I can't believe some people are so rude, I do know what Jesus said. We do just have to remember that we are objects of hatred and they are rejecting Jehovah, not us. If we was to meet them in a different environment they would be nice to us, they just don't like the truth we stand for.
Won't it be nice in the near future when we are ALL united in all serving the ONE true God, our loving Father Jehovah! I can't wait! When we can receive our reward! Living on the this wondeful earth in paradise conditions! Then our preaching work won't stop then, it will be EVEN better!!! Teaching the ones that are resurrected!! How AWESOME that will that be!!! Nobody will be rude then!! Yet today all we are trying to do is help people and do as we are told in the Bible.

Wow! What a horrible first door! Im so sorry about your dad! :( It will be so nice in the New System when that will not be a problem any more! I am so happy though yall had a GREAT rest of the morning!!! There are still ones out there that are “sighing and groaning” over the detestable things now taking place in this world! We just have to keep looking for these sheep like ones until Jehovahs Day is here!! Until then we have to be patient, even at times when it seems so hard!! We just have to keep praying to Jehovah to give all of our Brothers and Sisters the strength to endure this system. :)

I have had the same experience as you have, and yes, it is really more encouraging than not. I always think of the following Scriptures...
(John 15:17-19) “. . .“These things I command YOU, that YOU love one another. 18 If the world hates YOU, YOU know that it has hated me before it hated YOU. 19 If YOU were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because YOU are no part of the world, but I have chosen YOU out of the world, on this account the world hates YOU.”
(Matthew 5:11-12) “. . .“Happy are YOU when people reproach YOU and persecute YOU and lyingly say every sort of wicked thing against YOU for my sake. 12 Rejoice and leap for joy, since YOUR reward is great in the heavens; for in that way they persecuted the prophets prior to YOU.”
Of course, no matter how many doors get slammed in our faces, when an honest hearted one is found and begins to study and learns the truth, there is no greater joy! That one is worth all the slammed doors I could ever experience!
Just like the sister above me said, it is really Jehovah they are rejecting, not us...it is his message that we carry, not our own!
To Todd J, Jesus did not tell the thief that he was saved, he was telling him that he would be resurrected and have a chance to make his own decision after gaining true klnowledge
(Acts 24:15) “. . .and I have hope toward God, which hope these [men] themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.. . .”

Congratulations on becoming a publisher! I know that your teacher and the entire congregation are very proud of you. Just think how Jehovah and Jesus must feel! Especially since you are not allowing negative responses to stop you or slow your progress. Good for you!
As for me, it does not bother me at all but I do feel pity for those who react in that way. They just do not know that they are throwing away an opportunity to possess the most valuable treasure chest there is, filled with accurate knowledge, the hope of everlasting life on a paradise earth, a worldwide Christian brotherhood and more, all wrapped up in a beautiful package of a close, personal relationship with the most high.
Aren't you glad you opened the door and listened?

Matthew 5:10 in action!
10 “Happy are those who have been persecuted for righteousness’ sake, since the kingdom of the heavens belongs to them."
That's why you smile!
To Todd J;
Yes, there are requirements other than John 3:16. If you'll keep reading in the book of John, chapter 17 verse 3 says we need to come to know God and the one he sent forth, Jesus. You can't know them in 3 minutes after getting stabbed, yet you had years before that moment and you did nothing! Why wait until you're stabbed and dying to try to accept the free gift of salvation? Another requirement is found at Matthew 28:19, a commission spoken by Jesus himself to preach the good news! This required commission is reinforced by James in James 2:26 where he tells us that faith without works is dead!
Besides, your scenario is a bit far- fetched! Who is going to stab you and then start preaching to you about salvation in 3 minutes? If you already knew about God's gift of salvation then why did you wait until the threshhold of death to ask for it? IF such a scenario somehow occurred, Jehovah would judge that person according to their deeds (Revelation 20:12) and how they lived their life and what their heart condition is (morally), not by what they said or felt or learned or did in the last 3 minutes of their life!! If that was the case, then what prevents people from robbing, murdering, raping, and living a debauched life all the while knowing that they can get salvation in the final seconds before they die! That's silly! Read and study the bible more and you'll be better equipped to handle the word of God aright (2Timothy 2:15)!

The first door I ever did,the lady was really rude to me.But I remembered Jesus' words to 'shake the dust off our feet".
I know what you mean.Even on this website, you will read of ones who think they outsmarted us by being rude or vulgar or whatever. They too are helping to fulfill prophecy and they dont even realise it!.
It strengthens my faith when people are awful because Jesus warned us that we would be hated. And I always rememeber his words when someone is nasty.
It just reinforces to me that I know that I have found the truth!
You hang in there.Because there is worse to come. But there are also many blessings to be enjoyed.Just remember what we suffer in this system, whether it be five years, ten years or fifty years, will soon be forgotten after a thousand years in paradise! There is just nothing to compare to the priviledge Jehovah has bestowed on us.

I was out Saturday and worked with my Father and my niece and nephew. We are passing out the invitation for the assembly. We were working out in the country and the first gate we were at, pretty much everyone has a fenced in yard. (I live in the country and also have a fenced in yard also). Anyway, we were at the guys gate and we were just going to leave the invitation on his gate. He sees us and comes up to the fence, no shirt, nipple ring and all, and when he realizes who we were, he goes off...yelling, etc...I was worried about my Dad, because he has congestive heart failure and only has half a heart. It actually did upset him, he said he hadn't had anyone react that violently in a long time. It made his heart rate go way up to 90, and he had trouble getting it down all day. I prayed to Jehovah to help us find someone who wanted to listen, and down the street I met a really nice older woman from Luxemburg and she knew who we were and wanted the magazines and we talked awhile, infact, my Dad honked the horn at me. I then met a women, who looked at the invitation and smiled and wanted to know where it was, and said that this was just what she needed and thanked us for coming. So even though we have those who are just rude, hateful, selfish people, there are still sheep like ones out there, looking for hope. We just have to shift through the goats to find the sheep.

The Bible Book of James 1:2-4 says, "Consider it all joy, my brothers when you meet with various trials, knowing as you do that this tested quality of your faith works out endurance. But let endurance have its work complete, that you may be complete and sound in all respects, not lacking in anything." Notice that James under inspiration said that we should be joyful under tribulations. Actually, it is not so easy but if we do, our faith will be tested and if we pass the test of endurance we shall be complete, lacking nothing; as though we are "perfect", which means being approved in Jehovah's sight.
When I am being persecuted in Field Service or elsewhere, I remain calm and look to Jehovah for strength and direction. This is the type of faith that true servants of Jehovah God should exhibit and that is the same kind of spirit that you are showing. Keep it up with regular personal Bible studies and meeting attendance. May Jehovah help you to make spiritual progress.

Jehovah God wanted us to use his name. Matthew 6:9, Jesus told us that we should pray: "Our Father in the heavens, let your NAME be SANCTIFIED." Also Isaiah 43:10 also brings out that Jehovah said, "You are my WITNESSES." God is a Title. Even with Arabs. A good dictionary will show you, “Allah” is a shortened form of the Arabic term meaning “the god", this is not a name. The title “God” is neither personal nor distinctive. In the Hebrew Scriptures the same word (ʼElo‧him′) is applied to Jehovah, the true God, and also to false gods. The Imperial Bible-Dictionary says: “It is everywhere a proper name, denoting the personal God and him only; whereas Elohim partakes more of the character of a common noun, denoting usually, indeed, but not necessarily nor uniformly, the Supreme. . . . The Hebrew may say the Elohim, the true God, in opposition to all false gods; but he never says the Jehovah, for Jehovah is the name of the true God only. He says again and again my God . . . ; but never my Jehovah, for when he says my God, he means Jehovah. He speaks of the God of Israel, but never of the Jehovah of Israel, for there is no other Jehovah. He speaks of the living God, but never of the living Jehovah, for he cannot conceive of Jehovah as other than living.” Hope This Helps

Yes, I feel the same way. Just always remember that they are rejecting Jehovah, and not you personally. I went to a door a few weeks ago with a sister and the man was an athiest and told us that's what he was, he also told us to get the "h---" off his property. And right before he slammed the door, the sister told him to "have a nice day". We went away smiling too. It's their choice.
