Just curious..has anyone ever peed in a house that was under construction or abandoned? Or even just a regular building being refurbished or built?

Yes. When you work as an electrician, and you get really desperate, and don't have any bushes around, that shiny new toilet looks awful tempting. But the water was being turned on the same day, so I went back and flushed before anyone noticed. ;)~

Confine her to a bathroom with her box food water toys. See if she consistently uses the box. If you can't do that, try a different type of litter. She may prefer clumping or a sandy type or plain clay. Being that she was fine the first week, she probably just doesn't like being confined in basement. Have you taken her to the vet for a check up? I would do so asap. Doubt she has a UTI probably a behaviour issue being in a new situation, being alone in basement etc. But always best to rule out problem with vet. Does she have a microchip? the vet can check. She may be someones lost pet and they wouldlike her back as much as she may like to go home

It is an obvious thing to do. Anyone who hasn't done it is probably mentally ill.
Paolo Barrille did a mail art project about all the places people peed or shat out of doors. That was an amazing map. Everywhere has been peed on. All the water in the world was once pee.

Yep.
Nome, Alaska.
A guy who was building a gorgeous house on the tundra... He was building it, himself, no help, and it was awesome. We, (the guy doing the building, his girlfriend, my friend, and myself) had a barbecue at the site of the house... on the balcony, overlooking the beautiful tundra...

Of course, the restroom was not complete, so the guy set up a "honey-bucket" for us gals. That was a pickle bucket filled halfway with kitty litter and a toilet seat ring on top (for comfort).

What a great time that was....

No, but I saw a little boy peeing in one of the toilets that are featured at Sears in their bathroom remodeling section. His parents didn't particularly care what he did as long as he wasn't disturbing them.

Yes, when they were cosntructing our current home, my younger sister and I were trying to see who would be the first to do everything in our new house. Turns out I was the first to pee in it. lol

nope, I have a friend who is a plumber and when that normally happens it's the painters or the drywallers who do it, and then the real fireworks begin.
