it depends on what your mothers blood type is. your father only has "o"genes to contribute if he is type "O" if your mom is Othen you definately will be o as well. if you mom is A or B she may carry AO or BO in which case you could be O or A or B (depending on what you mom is and which gene you receive. clear as mud?

depends on what mom's blood type is. people who have blood type o, only have the O gene to give & their blood genes are homozygous. in the case of mom having blood type A (her's may be a homozygous A - meaning have only A gene to donate or she may be heterozygous A - meaning she has A or O gene) then you may be a type A or type O. if mom is type B (same case homozygous B or heterozygous B) then maybe type B or O. but then if mom is type AB (meaning she has A or B gene to donate) then you will either be type B or type A. this is how much i can remember from my genetics course. hope this gave some light to your question. if this confused you even more, do me a favor and read up on genetics, specifically on blood typing.

Your blood type is established before you are born, by specific genes inherited from your parents. You receive one gene from your mother and one from your father; these two combine to establish your blood type. These two genes determine your blood type by causing proteins called agglutinogens (a-GLOO-tin-a-gins) to exist on the surface of all of your red blood cells.

There are three alleles or versions of the blood type gene: A, B, and O. Since everybody has two copies of these genes, there are six possible combinations; AA, BB, OO, AB, AO, and BO. In genetic terms, these combinations are called genotypes, and they describe the genes you got from your parents.
If you have O Blood type then both parents must be O.
