Take a deep breath
Make a cup of tea
Sit down in my favourite spot
Have a peace of paper and pen handy
Close my eyes for a little while
Say a prayer; I love God and he loves all of us
Drink my cup of tea and concentrate on the 'problem'
Change the problem into a challenge
Find a solution
If it is to complicated for me God will help me to find the right person to ask!
It has never failed yet!

Saying something in my head or even outloud to no one at all hardly solves anything. It may give you a little courage to continue, but you do so on your own.
When I come across a complicated problem, I talk to my spouse or my best friend or my parents. They are always available to lend an ear and make suggestions.
Or I just go into a room by myself and read or nap or concentrate on a craft until I'm ready to face my problem again.
I do not see how saying a prayer to an invisible and yet unproven deity will help me. I'm glad it works for you, though. Some need that... others don't. And that's okay.

Fine...if that works for you. I have always found that solving or attempting to solve my own problems has made me stronger. For those problems I can't solve, I just let go of them and they usually get resolved one way or another. I've never relied on prayer and, in observing those who do, have been unable to detect significant differences in outcome.
Prayer is not for everyone. If you like it and sense benefit, pray on.

I Pray for the "Wisdom" to understand the problem.
I ask for Gods Grace to deal with the problem.
I am not an Atheist, but this is how I deal with difficult problems. In the end, I find that these so called difficult problems are not as difficult as they seem.

i never think no one can help me. thats what friends and family are for.
i dont need some higher power who may or may not exist to dump all my " crap" onto. in almost all cases, all the hardship and heartache have been my own fault and i have no one to blame but myself.
ive really never been the a fan of letting someone else fix my problems. thats the biggest issue i have with christianity: christians expect that god is just gonna poof all their problems away. think about it, if you were the creator of heaven and earth, would you be worried about jane doe's desire to lose 10 pounds so she feels a little better about herself?

Sometimes I simply go to bed. I'm a lot smarter in the morning.
Sometimes I get the opinion of a friend or relative.
Sometimes I exercise or reorganize the furniture in a room.
And, once in a great while, I whine and pout until someone takes pity on me.

Depends on the problem - I talk to my spouse, or I talk to my dad. I even talked to a priest once about something truly bizarre, and he was great help without telling me I was evil or bad or insisting I join their church.
There is never a problem so big that there isn't someone who can help you with it. It's just the realizing that there ar others to there who can help that's the hard part when you get into that mindset.

I rely on myself because it makes me stronger. I dont need a man made superstition to increwase my own sttength. If that is what you rely on, you are quite weak, to say the least.
Praying gives you artificial strength because it gives you hope. Prayer is rarely ever effective, and when it ends up coming true, it is usually just a mild coincidence.
Ask the dieing people of cancer on their deathbeds how great prayer works.

Depends on what the problem is. If I have a problem with my love life, I speak to my fiance about it. If I have a problem with my family, I speak to my family. If I have a problem with my job, I speak to my boss. If I have a problem with my health, I speak to my doctor. Nothing was ever done just by praying. You have to get off your behind and do something about it yourself.
