SHe has a 1995 Toyota Camry and says when she slows down and hits the brakes, it shakes all over like crazy. I sent her to the local auto repairman and they said her brakes were fine. They said they had some dirt on them and they cleaned the brakes and charged us $25 bucks.
Now she say her car still shakes when she hits the brakes and slows down.
Are we missing something here?

It's the brake rotors for sure. They are the disk looking things on the brakes (probably just has front disk brakes) The rotors need "turned" which means sanded down (which you can't do) I would buy new ones (rotors) or see how much they cost to have "turned". Shouldn't be too much (maybe 100 bucks) Don't get rid of the car. It's just the rotors. Believe me!!!

Over time they get wavy and at high speeds when you apply break pressure, will vibrate. and shake down when comming to a stop. (more annoying than anything) It really wont hurt the car. And you will always be able to stop.

Most likely she has warped brake rotors. The vehicle may not shake until the brakes are warmed up. It's most likely just the front rotors. I'd anticipate this to be a $100 to $150 problem to repair.

It is most likely that the brake rotors are warped, or have been over heated. Could be a seperated or out of balalnce tire, though this usually gets worse as speed increases.

It could be either warped brake (rotors) or a bad u joint I would take it to a different mechanic. But yes the mechanic missed something that is not normal for a vehicle to do that.

Loose axle nut which hold in the wheel bearings. or loose wheel nuts. or the holes where the wheel goes onto the drum, are out of round(because they have been loose)while driving around. or wheels are out of balance. for starters.
