To make such a statement you would have to have complete knowledge and to have been everywhere in the universe.

Maybe God dwells somewhere in the universe you don’t know of or have not been to?

Is that possible?

Isn’t it a bit extreme to assert "God does exist"?

Yes, but it is also extreme to assert that God does exist. To make that assumption you would also have to have complete knowledge.

Depends. If you think you know everything or science can explain everything they then you clearly can and understand that there might not be a god. If you accept that you don't know everything or that science can't explain everything then you can believe in god and then you can believe that their is good and evil. If you didn't have belief in a god in the first place and have things told to you from a higher power then you can't have good and evil. Just think about the spelling of god and devil and compare them to the spellings of good and evil.

That is contradictory to all of the teachings. (ie that God is everywhere).

I have answered this many times check and check that the Xians can't come at me. Are you telling me that there is a magical sky fairy on another planet?

Or that this imaginary friend created it all? I don't need to have complete knowledge to know that the Tooth Fairy doesn't exist.

I wouldn't say extreme, more a fair representation of our current knowledge of the universe and beyond. But in no way a 100% truth.

I don't know if it's extreme but I myself wouldn't claim whether he does or does not exist because I simply don't know.

With that said, don't you think it's a bit extreme when some people claim with vehement that he does exist without having any solid evidence to back their statement up?

It's foolish to make such a statement, and dangerous to. God holds your very soul in the palm of his hand.

isn't a bit extreme to assert "Fairies don't exist"?

without any evidence, the only logical assumption is that he doesn't exist.
same reason we don't believe in fairies or unicorns. get it?

"it is hard to see what other evidence there could be for something NOT being there other than the failure to find any evidence that it IS there. something which does not exist leaves no mark, so it can only be an absence of marks of its existence that can provide evidence for its non-existence"

If God dwells somewhere in the universe that I haven't been to or been made aware of, why is he relevant to my life?

No more "extreme" that asserting that "God does exist" without tangible proof.
