Well, if you want to change your diet, i recommend foods high in tryptophan content (like turkey). however, just try warming up a little milk (add a tiny bit of honey for sweet taste) and you should be good to go. I've put over 30 kids and adults to bed.. they all knock out with this one. good luck and good night !!! =)

Turkey is said to have L triptophane in it which is why people get so tired after eating turkey on Thanksgiving. Personally, I think they get tired from over eating but research has been done to proove Turkey can cause drowsiness. Try drinking warm milk too or do a search for L triptophane for more snooze enhancing foods. Also carbs or ice cream seems to help make me sleepy after about 20 minutes of eating. Its the blood sugar going into overdrive that makes you tired with the sweets and treats.

Get yourself ready for sleep by relaxing a few hours before bedtime -- take a warm bath, drink some warm milk or herbal tea. Other foods that can help you fall asleep is cheese, mustard, pickles, lettuce, and turkey. Good luck.

There is tea called sleepy time, by celestial seasonings. Also, if this is always a problem, there is a vitamin called melatonin, it's all natural, I take one, and within a few minutes I'm out like a light (i'm an insomniac.) Also if you have any caffeine free tea, drink lemon, tea, and honey, with a TINY shot of whisky...out in a second! If you have none of these, take a hot bath, it raises your body temp, and will make you sleepier.

There is a plant called Valerian Root that will relax you. It is all-natural and sold in pill form, it stinks real bad, but it works. I take it every night.
