Take in mind, I'm not religious myself (I'm a Wiccan). But I've seen some pretty illogical and point-less arguments coming from the atheist community. You're giving the rest of your community a bad name! For example, just because there were violent people in the Middle Ages who committed terrible crimes in the name of their religion doesn't prove or disprove anything about the existence of a supreme being. Again, just because there is suffering in the world also doesn't imply anything (since many religions already presume that what happens in the afterlife is of more relevance than what happens on Earth.) So can people stop using these arguments?

THey are opinionated without gathering the facts. Any spirituality, or lack of is a sensitive subject to people. They either act or speak brashly, or they form ill wrought opinions.

Why are Atheists so bad?
Because of your mind set - it is how you see them, and here you go lumping people together into a whole when it is an impossibility in fact to all be the same.
The christians get dissed because they are pushy, close-minded prigs who force their ways, religion and beliefs onto others and into everyones homes and lives every chance they get. Yes they do still persecute in this day and age, and now you are as well. Another reason for Atheists to take the offense.
Wicca is defined as a religion, by the way. Worry about the bad name you are giving the true followers of that which you claim.

"why are atheists so bad?' what a dumb question. u didnt even give a reason as to why u believe atheists are bad, rather u listed some of their arguments that u dont like. im not convinced.
your question should be "why are christians and other religious followers so STUPID?" because there is no god, at least as percieved by humans. simple. case closed. they are just sheep leading delusional, brainwashed lives.
the world is still in its early stages. 500 years from now when no jesus returns and no apocalypse occurs, these dumb fools will wake up and take personal responsibility. and by then the world should be at least 50% agnostic/atheist. and that would be a huge step in human evolution.
understand that christianity started 2000 years ago, so it will take time to snuff out its delusional flames.

Violence, hatred and intolerance in the name of god (either through war or the persecution of people) is not just a thing of the past. It continues to this day. While that is not proof against a god, it is certainly an argument against the claim that religion is good for society and that people would have no morals without it.
Sorry, but I will continue to use the argument when it is appropriate.

the argument is against what people have done or are doing all the while saying this Supreme being wants them to kill eachother. this is like a similiar argument .this is something which can be easy to succumb to. the beleief that democracy can supplied to the world by force.the idea of supplying democracy by force nrgates the idea of democracy. so a person can say much of the violence has been done in the name of Democracy or sometimes the name of God and Democracy combined .

Actually suffering in the world does imply quite a lot of things about a so-called good omnipotent god.
Oh and in case you hadn't noticed there are quite a few people in the here and now committing terrible crimes in the name of their religion!

There seems to be many people who use the label of "Atheist" to describe their agenda. You will not find Atheist in anything religious or spiritual. You will however find "Unbelievers" or as we Christians refer to them "Anti Christ". This type are here to entertain themselves by bashing whatever religion you are or to try to justify their own unbelief. For example, I do not believe in UFOs. The last place you would find me is in a UFO forum bashing others who do believe. I can not prove UFOs do not exist. I am just a nonbeliever. If I was an unbeliever I would be trying to prove them all wrong using anything rational or irrational I could find. Doesn't that sound a bit silly? It is simple facts around here.

Actually suffering in the world does imply something, it implies that if an almighty god exists that he A. is malevolent and enjoys watching people suffer or B is not really all-powerful and can't do anything to stop it.

Maybe you should stop generalizing and labeling all atheists as "bad". With that said, I have met many people from all different religions who display these same attitudes you speak of. Bad apples come from all types of belief systems. Not fair to focus your question on just one group.
