It's normal. He's just trying to be "dominant" in the pack. The kitten, and you and anyone else he sees on a daily basis in the house, are his pack. Tell him no, and if he starts to hump your foot/leg, do the same thing. Push him off gently and tell him "No." You will need to begin puppy obedience training ASAP so that he can learn where he "fits in the pack." Good luck with the pup :)

He does it to establish dominance. When dogs hump either a person's leg, or another species, or another dog of the same gender, it is because they are establishing dominance.

If it is a pomeranian, chances are good, that the kitten will grow bigger and reestablish dominance when he is bigger than the dog (this is how it works with my parents' chihuahua and alleycat).

When my own dog starts to hump my leg, I just put my hand on her back, or I gently put my other leg up on her back (if I'm sitting down). In this way, I am telling her, "No, you are not my master. I am yours.) She stops humping immediately, when I establish my dominance this way.

If your puppy seems to be hurting the kitten, then now's the time to tell him, "NO!"

Also, I started telling my dog to, "Be nice!" when around other pets. She understands now, that "be nice" means "treat that animal gently." So my German shep. is very gentle with my pet rabbit.

This is very normal. He is showing the kitten that he is dominant over him. He may grow out of it in time. Neutering him will help with this.

it could be just play or it could be an attempt to assert dominance over the kitten. I would not be to stressed by it. If it bothers you, then calmly pick him up and say no then redirect his attention somewhere else. He will soon get the idea.

Its normal and will mostly likely grow out of it. He is most likely trying to establish that he is the domaint one in the situation.

Its normal (though not desirable:) At 9 weeks old, it is not sexual, he is just showing his dominance.

No, it is not normal. A pupply that age should not be doing that. I recommend consulting with your vet as soon as possible.
Good luck!
