Well, either you have a lot of stress in your life, or you have a family with hereditary genes toward premature graying ... I have that in my family, my mom was almost all gray by the time she was 25... my daughter started turning gray at 15... she is now 28 and has been coloring her hair since her teens!
My sister is nearly all gray but colors regularly... my brother is a year younger than I am and is all gray... my uncles are all graying and had started at young ages... but my youngest aunt and I are at 50 and have very few gray hairs... I think it skipped us... oh well! I do have a few that show up once in a while when I am highly stressed... but otherwise, I am lucky!

I was about 19 or so, washing my hair over the tub, and found a gray hair... I had long hair at the time, and this one had been growing from the crown of my head, so it was a good 18 inches or so in length!!! If you're fair, tell yourself it's "blond"... and don't worry. If you're darker complected, I'd suggest coloring it. 1) Go to a good salon and getting it colored- at least the first time. After that, you can probably use something from the drug store or grocery store. 2) If you're too embarrassed to go to a salon for a coloring, you could use a permanent marker to color the spots that are super noticeable... take a small bunch of hair at a time, smooth it through your fingers and use the marker on the whole length... THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES ON THIS TECHNIQUE!!! This technique COULD be worse than the embarrassment caused by a visit to the salon... but then it could turn out pretty cool, start a new trend at your school... There's always the option of "aging gracefully"-- accept that God wants you to look "distinguished" at 25 and live with it.

Well, it can run in the family. Look at Taylor Hicks!

I know a guy who is 28 with lots of gray hairs. It's hereditary.

have you been under a lot of stress? That could be a factor, or it could be hereditary. Did either of your parents go gray early? If so you are more likely to as well. But dont worry, hair dye comes in alls shades now days.

That is not true about being bald by 25. My dad turned prematurely gray by the time he was your age. He never lost his hair.

It means you were originally born on the planet pluto - just kidding. It means you have premature graying and it's just a genetic pigmentation thing, nothing really serious.

Just that your hair follicles are running out of melanin to produce the colour for your hair. It happens differently for everyone.
