As long as it's fully healed, it shouldn't hurt.
You may have to take it out before games, since jewelry isn't allowed, but if your jerseys are long enough, and it doesn't peek out, the ref will never know- and it is safe to play with it.

i got mine when i graduated junior high i am now a senior in hs and i still have it. i have danced for ever and yes it does get caught on my dance costumes. its probably not a good idea to have a ring in for games or practices but fishing wire workes great. since you are going to have to keep a ring in it for at least 3 months after you get it done, get it done when you aren't going to have volleyball.

I had one and got it when I was in my mid thirties (mid life crisis I think!!) I loved it but my body rejected it so I had to take it out as it was always infected no matter what I did. I had no problems with my ear or tongue piercings.

i dont have one..i've only seen two people have theirs ripped out.
one of my friends got it peirced..and every time she plays vball she just puts string through the hole so it doesnt close.
