If you feel like he is going to get out of the crib then definately get him into a toddler bed now, so he wont fall out! Especially since he knows what bed time is I woud say either way, you may as well get him into the toddler bed now. It sounds like he is ready. We put our son in his at about that age. It worked out really well. Good luck! :O)

Try taking out the animals and the bumper if there is still one. Thats what I had to do with my son. I kept my son in a crib till he was 2 years and 3 months. He has a harder time going to bed because of the freedom. I would wait till he was a little older and can be trusted to be in his room alone cause you never know he may wake up in the middle of the night. There have been a few times my son has been so quite I didn't know he woke up but at least all he can do is take the clothes out of his dresser. We took almost everything out that he could get into except his dresser and bookshelf but moved everything to the top two shelves. Good Luck

If he is trying to climb out of his crib, it's time to put him into a toddler bed. I put my daughter in one when she was 14 months old. The only thing is that she can get up at night and wants to be in bed with us, we're working on that.

My little man was the same as yours, very easy to put to bed aswell. I put him in a bed at 20months and he took to it so well. My thoughts are that maybe 15months COULD be too early for him to understand, as i know a little boy that went into a bed because he was jumping out of his cot at that age at it took his mum about a week and a half of trying to get him to stay in his bed without the crying and kicking the walls down. BUT some do just take to it easier than others and if your little boys gets to sleep well now, do expect it to be a little harder with a bed, my son knows that its bed time when he goes down but sometimes he will still creep up to his door and poke his head out an hour after hes gone down where as before it only took minutes for him to fall asleep in his cot. =) its cute though. goodluck =)
ooh and by the way, when you do it, make a big fuss to your little boy and get him involved saying its his BIG BOY BED and let him help you set it up or make it etc.. My son just loved that. He points to his old cot now and goes "baby bed" bcause he knows that hes in the big boy bed =)

Only you can answer this question!
Typically, 15 months would be a bit early for a toddler bed.
If he can't get out of his crib, and is in to everything maybe keeping him in his crib would be a better idea, so you don't have to worry about him waking up and getting in to something he shouldn't be.
Good Luck!

Well, I have known a 13 month old to be put into a toddler bed and be totally fine with it. I didn't put my daughter into it until she was about 20 months because she was scared. But when I put the bed against the wall, she was fine and very good with it. Give it a try, and see if it works! It won't hurt anything! Goodluck!

Just remember that when he does get into a toddler bed, he wakes up in a toddler bed. Therefore he can get out and about anytime. There is no age limit, may babys stay in one for over 2 yrs.

My 5 y/o slept in his crib until he was a little over 2 and I plan with my 15 mo/old to do the same.
My 15 mo/old is also into everything, but can't get out of his crib. My fear would be the baby would get out and get into something he shouldn't and possibly get hurt.
It's your decision, but I would stick with the crib for now.

the two take him out, positioned him interior the mattress and close the door in the back of you. do no longer permit him come out, and this is not significant if he's interior the mattress or on the floor for the 1st few days. the newness will positioned on off. in simple terms make confident his room does not have toys, etc. for him to play with at night and that this is infant proofed. in case you do no longer see him being efficient in a mattress, then purchase a crib tent and shop him interior the crib for yet another six months and verify out it then.

My son was 16 months when we put him in a bed. We had a matress under his bed but pulled out so that if he fell out of bed, he'd land on the matress. If he can manage to get off a bed without hurting himself, he'd be right.
