Usually a person who says this has suffered third degree burns and needs some skin to cover their pestules and raw meat. However, it is sometimes used slang in place of "give me five, brother".

More like a horizontal hand slide instead of a vertical hand shake. Hold out one hand flat, the other person puts the base of their plam on the base of your palm and then draws the hand towards the fingertips. Popular in the 1970s.

yeah, it is. The first time I remember hearing it was when I was a really little girl...late eighties, early nineties. *shrugs* It might've been before then, but yeah, it basically means, "Gimme a high five!"

Or a low five.

Whatever worked. :)

"Give me some skin", dear, means that someone is asking you to reveal more of your body, to get nude, if you wish, so more "skin" can be visible...
Unless , of course someone wants a skint transplant from you.
