How long does it take to drive to Calgary from Toronto? Reason why I'm asking is because I am planning to move to Calgary from Toronto. I'll take the plane but I believe you're only allowed two suitcases. I will need a way to get my other things there. I wondering about a moving truck, but I'm not sure how long of a drive it is and the cost.

What is the best way to get my other belongings to Calgary from Toronto?

We have moved to Alberta and Back from ontario and we used a moving company both times. It was the cheaper way to go. Uhaul you pay for so many KM's (depending on the distance) and gas. and you are taking a chance that the Uhaul truck actually works (this coming from experience when friends moved using uhaul the truck couldn't go past 60) Allied was the moving company we used but there are others out there. Call around they can give you a estimate quote over the phone with you telling them what kind of stuff you have or they can come in and quote you too.

it took us 3 days driving to get from Cambridge to Alberta and we went though the US. though canada can take a little longer depending on where you are coming from.

Mapquest says the drive is 41 hours and 2,140 miles. I used the build your route version to keep the trip in Canada, as you probably don't want to cross the boarder with a Uhaul full of stuff.

3 days drive
Take the trans canada highway
get a U haul trailer or sometimes moving companies will allow you to split a load with another person moving at the same time.
Other options are to get a container and ship by rail.

I'm not sure exactly how long it would take to drive but have you considered renting a car/uhaul? That might be a better choice if you have the time.
