First of all, if someone else is buying your ticket with their credit card, do you need to bring that person and/ or the credit card with you to get your ticket?

Second, is there a way of pluging in your laptop on the plane to charge it during the flight?

Third, I have heard of people getting bumped up to First Class for free... How do they do this? Just curious.

Fourth what all do I need to have to get through security quickly and easily?

Fifth, what happens if my first flight is late and I miss my connecting flight? Or what if my flight is on time but I'm not fast enough make it to the other gate (only have a 30 minute layover in Atlanta at the crack of dawn and I'm not the fast thing)?

Sixth, what happens if the seats are too small for me (I'm a plus size girl. Not huge. But I do have some problems fitting on to some rollarcoaster rides)?

Seven, what am I not allowed to carry on to the plane?

Eight, how earlier should I arrive before my flight?

1. No, as long as the ticket is in your name. Bring the confirmation/booking # with you.
2. No outlets are on the plane to charge your laptop, at least in coach class.
3. That sometimes happens. Unless you are honeymooning or military you won't get bumped up. But its mostly a myth.
4. In line before going through security, take everything out of your pockets and take off your shoes (wearing easily slip on sandals would be excellent!). Hold your ticket and drivers license in your hand.
5. The airlines will take care of you. No matter how upset or pissed you are, be polite as the person you are talking to did not cause the delay. They also have little shuttles to take you from gate to gate in Altanta. Start learning how to walk fast.
6. I've seen bigger fit. If its not a full flight, ask to be seated elsewhere.
7. You will have to check with the airline website or travel site. Put all of your toiletries in the checked in luggage.
8. 2-3 hours, though it depends on what day. If its a high travel day, 3-4 hours. Bring a book.

1.) No, the other person needs not to be with you. The reservation will be in your name, so you, and only you can get the boarding pass. Just show the agent at the counter your ID.

2.) There is no way of plugging your laptop in on the plane. Just make sure the batteries are charged...CORRECTION!! All airplanes have a wall socket buried in the floor. They are usually in row 1 (first class on Delta). It's there so night crews can use vac's to clean. It's under the carpet. But don't worry about that, just charge your battery.

3.) Yes, you can get bumped to first class. It's harder these days because the airlines were losing money, so they'd charge you an arm and a leg to get bumped. But, if you are bold enough, dress business casual/professional and approach the gate podium before boarding. Ask the gate agent if there is any way you can get bumped up to a first class seat for free. Just show them a pretty smile when you ask. The worst they can do is say no. If the plane you are on has a business class (between 1st and coach), they might be able to hook that up for you.

4.) To get through security fast?? That's never going to happen as long as TSA is in charge. But to not get hassled, have your ID and boarding pass ready. Take off your shoes, put that laptop of yours in it's own bin to get x-rayed. Make sure all of your liquids and gels are in 3.4 oz. bottles and are in a ziploc bag. That will get you thorugh more efficiently.

5.) If your flight is late and you miss your connecting flight, the airline will put you on standby with a high priority for the next departing connecting flight. If you are not fast enough to make the connection, the same thing will apply. Don't worry, unless there is some extreme gate change, your connecting flights are usually pretty close to the first one, especially if they make a connecting flight take off within 30 minutes of your original one. You should be fine on that.

6.) Before asking for first class, ask for an exit row. That has the absolute most legroom on the airplane. That would solve your worry. A roller coaster seat is much smaller than an airplane seat. I sat next to a easy 400 pound guy once, and he squeezed right into the seat and had the arm rest down. Don't worry about that.

7.) You are not allowed to carry lighters, alcohol, liquids more than 3.4 oz, gels more than 3.4 ozs. However, any water bottles purchased past the checkpoint can be brought. For that matter, anything in general purchased after the checkpoint can be brought onboard.

8.) Two hours is the minimum!! Especially at the crack of dawn. That's when the airport is the busiest. All of the first flights of the day are taking off, and most first flights are sold out because of business travelers. Give yourself time to get through the checkpoint and find your gate.

Ok, agree with most of what the last person said. However, some airlines do have outlets in first and business class to plug in your laptop. I'm a flight attendant, and most of our planes have this. As far as getting bumped up to first or business class, usually that is only for people who have a status with the airline...they use their miles to upgrade to a better seat. Like the last person said, get there early and try to get an exit row seat, that's your best bet...or the seat at the bulkhead (the first row behind first class).
