can you hook up a subwoofer to a durabrand home theater if you can ,can someone please tell me how

Is your subwoofer a powered speaker, meaning does it have a built in amplifier? If it doesn't does the home theater have a spare amp channel that you could connect the sub to?

Look for a sub woofer that will accept speaker level inputs. Some do but many do not. With these the sub will hook to anything. That type of sub may or may not have an amplifier or a crossover. An amp and crossover built in would probably work better for you.
