I've had several problems with my personal assistant over the last 6 months and have addressed this with her several times. Today I had a meeting with her and told her over the next 30 days I will be reviewing her work and re-evaluating our business relationship. I feel so crappy about doing it. Haven't been sleeping well since I set up the meeting with her last week. Is this normal? (this is my first time as an employer)

You can't allow her to screw up your career.
If she isn't an asset to you, you must let her go.
No, it's never easy, sometimes it is very difficult.
You are being fair, and if she fails to live up to your expectations it is not your fault.
As Donald Trump said "you're fired' but he added "once the decision is made ot
