I have a problem
I have a rather big head
as in
When I try on most glasses
they are not wide enough for me and they end up bending and looking stupid

Where can I find glasses for big heads? Or is there an eye place that will measure my head and then I can buy glasses from my measurement?

Help please!!

You need to go to an optical and try on glasses. Measuring your face is a lovely idea, but I'm sorry it's pointless. No one is going to walk around there store and measure the frames to see if they are the same width as your head. Any optical worth going to is way too busy to measure all their frames like that, it ridicules. Even if they did that and find one the same width there is no guarantee it will fit your face, there's more to the fit of a frame then the width. You need to try the frames on. If a frame fits you so you will be able to see comfortably almost everything else can be adjusted, especially on a metal frame. Most frames also come in several sizes so if you find one that you like they can probably order a larger size for you.
The price of the frame depends on the part of the country. Designer frames give you the most options and where I work our frames start at $185. Given that you are looking for something bigger I'd say you're probably looking at something starting between $190-$250 Depending on where you live.

Frames can cost from $50 to $250 and are frequently on sale.
The last time I went to get new lenses, the larger lens glasses I wanted (but not too large) were available in exactly one plastic frame in two colors (brown or gray) with more choices in metal. All the other plastics were wimpy tiny.
In front of a mirror use a metric ruler to measure the width it takes to clear your temples. Use existing glasses or cut a piece of cardboard into a U shape to fit where your glasses go and measure the width. Mine are 132 mm inside. Call various glasses shops and ask if they have frames that wide from hinge pin to hinge pin. They will probably not know, so a little persuasion to get someone to go over and measure.

here r ur options =)

Try checking at a welding supply house. Most welding supply houses stock UVEX Safety glasses. UVEX brand comes in several sizes and you may be able to try them on before your purchase. They should run from $7 to $20 depending on style, size, and quantity purchased.

Definately go to an Optometrist... or at least a LensCrafters (or equivelent One Hour Optical).
It's not the Frames that make or break ANSI, it's the lenses. Try on frames until you find a Fit & style you like then have ANSI spec lenses put in.

Try Here: http://www.mastermans.com/
they have a large selection and most prices are pretty good.

Gargoyle's, Classic model. . If your's give you trouble, you'll have to go to a pro and have them fitted. It's amazing what a pro can do with a pair of glasses. The Gargoyle's filter three ranges of UV, and, in a lab withstood a 12ga. birdshot load pointblank, and remained intact. Less than $100 on Ebay.

WELL HOPE I HELPED>>>>>>>>>>>GOOD LUCK =)

The best way to find a frame for a large head is to find one with extended endpieces, the part where the temples are attached. You can wear some of the smaller eyesizes if you can find such frames. Usually German or French made frames will come larger than japanese or Chinese made frames.
