You are aiming way too high. At Tiffany, you will get a tiny stone for $3 to 4K. What you should do is go to a discount fine jewelry store in your area and check prices. Like a gold jewelry outlet type store. Also try on line and do a search: 14K diamond engagement rings. Also try fortunoffs.com. Stay away from Zales, Whitehall and all those other mall jewelry stores. They are rip offs. Very little for your money. For 3 to 4K if you really do some serious research and shopping, you could find a beautiful 1carat diamond ring that is awesome. So start researching now.

I'm a little confused by your question. But, I think you want to know if you can get a Tiffany's Engagement Ring for 3-4K.
You can. But, it might be on the small side. Tiffany's engagement rings are quite expensive.
I, myself, love Tiffany's. I have a few piece from there. But, I would skip them for engagement rings.
Do research and go to a good jeweler. Get a nice ring (that means follow the 5 C's) and get more for your money.
With Tiffany's you are paying for the name. While I love the name, I would rather have a bigger (still good quality) ring w/ a lesser known designer.

This link says a 1-carat diamond engagement ring starts at about $9,600 and goes up to 38K.

Did I understand your question correctly? Can you afford a Tiffany engagement ring with $3-4K? No, you will not be able to afford one. At least not one in a nice size carat.
Instead, just use the money to get her an awesome engagement ring from elsewhere. It does not have to be Tiffany's.

For your budget I would go with a 6 prong tiffany style setting, and 3/4 carat diamond ring. I would skip the brand name unless this something you really think she would want.
Bluenile is a reliable online store, I just priced something for an example of what I might pick up on your budget.

Maybe not a tiffanys but however bring in pictures of the tiffany ring you like to a jewlery store. Ask the jewler if they can make a ring simmilar to the picture. Many times they can do this for such a lower cost.

I would say shop around. Tiffanys is expensive and going somewhere else the ring might be bigger or better then what you could get there. But hey it is Tiffanys and every girl wants that little blue box!

Tiffany & Company has a wide variety of rings for all budget. With that amount of money you should be able to get a very nice size ring.

While Tiffany is wonderful you pay a lot extra for that little blue box. You could get a lot more for your money if you shop around. Stay out of the mall stores, they'll gouge you. Look for a reputable, local jeweler, tell them your budget and let them show you what they have to offer. You could always choose a nice stone and get it set in a temporary setting-pop the proverbial question and then let her pick out the setting herself. They'll often do this for cheap if not free.

Don't get me wrong, 3-4k will get you a beautiful ring. But, don't waste time with Tiffany's at that amount.

would you like an actual Tiffany's ring? or a Tiffany's style ring?
usually people say that they have a tiffany ring, and what that means is that the band of the ring is plain with no minor stones. there is simply one large stone seated on the mounting.
