You can come to the States legally, either on a visa or as an immigrant with a green card. While you can rent or purchase property without that, because you are not asked for your citizenship status, you have to be able to support yourself while in the US. You will be asked for a social security number, which requires immigration or legal status. If you are serious about moving here, a green card and eventual citizenship is the only way to go.

Anyone can own real estate in the United States. However, owning real estate will not help you get a visa to live here full time.
My grandparents owned a condo in Florida. Half their neighbors were from Ontario. The Canucks would stay the winter and go home for Spring, Summer and Fall. Most of them were Maple Leafs fans. My Red Wing fan grandfather loved torturing them.

No you do not, their are many people who will rent to you without even asking as long as you have the cash. Some of the corporations that run large rental aparments usually ask for a drivers license to confirm identity/credit check, but Im not sure they will disqualify you for not being a citizen as long as you can prove employment or income

Nope. They may ask you to be here legally with a valid social security number, to check your credit, if the rental process requires a credit approval.

In Hazleton, Pennsylvania and Farmers Branch, Texas no but soon you will have to prove your legal right to be here!!!
If you're here legally (on some type of Visa) then it's no problem.

If you came to where I live, you could buy or rent anything you wanted. Even if you were an ape. Because, they don't ask and they don't tell. Why, money talks, bulls** walks.
