No, but people shouldn't be afraid of some other things either.
Being afraid of dying really affects your ability to live because you think about it a lot so it's not really good for you. But it's not something one can help themselves get over very easily either.

I'm not afraid of death, but I guess I am afraid of dying. I don't want it to be a long drawn out process with a lot of suffering on my part or on the part of people who may still love me. Like everybody else, I think it would be great to just be there one second and gone the next. The shock might be something for those left behind, but a least they would know I didn't suffer.

Amazing question! What is amazing is the fact that most people do not ever think of death, nor dying; same in essence. Most people are afraid of being placed on life support. I have taken care of that problem.
But your question does ring a bell. Yes, there are people in instituations that are there because thaey are afraid of death.
But one thing for certain no one has returned from death to tell us what it is like.
I have dietbetics and have passed out three times. "If dying is like that there is nothing too it". I do not know how long I was out but I only remember trying to stand and woke up on the kitche floor in the fetal floor. How Long? Have no idea. I did the same thing whe I had to stay with my daughter and her family. "It is so instant".

No. I use to be but I realize now that dying is like a bus. It's the mode of transportation that gets you to the other side of everlasting life and happiness. Why should you be afraid of being with Lord when your time comes. That when all your worries have come to end. I'm not saying be in a rush to die, just don't be afraid to when the time comes. Fear is the devil, He wants us to be afraid to be with the Lord.

It depends on the situation I guess. For example teens should be afraid of dying because that phase in their life is pretty dangerous. Im not afraid of dying...however I am afraid of pain that is sometimes associated with it.

Dying is not an easy thing to experience. It is sometimes harder to even accept. Time is of the Essence is not just a cliche' but it is fact. Everyday we become a little bit older. Therefore, I believe that while we are here, becoming remembered and forever immortal are the goals to accomplish successfully being guided by the beliefs in which one believes spiritually and personally. What gardening you do now does predict the reaping of what you will harvest later. Be prepared for the unpreparable and have confidence in your living and the guidelines in which you are living by and if they are not working for you then re-evaluate,re prioritize, reorganize, and improvise...There is always room for mistake and change if you allow it. Believe in what you define as truth and rest that stress and live longevity.

I can only answer for myself, I am defiantly not afraid of dying. I sometimes worry about the effect it will have on my family. For the most part I try to enjoy life and not worry about the inevitable.

Not really. Dying is a part of life. Everyone is afraid
of the unknown and the actual dying process. But
then again everyone is different and faces
situations differently.

To me, it depends on whether it would be a painful death.
I've attempted suicide three times by overdosing with drugs which shouldn't be taken together. So, at least at those times, I wasn't afraid of dying.
My main concern would the effect of my death on my family and friends.
