the suspensions of the crew chiefs for the number 24 and 48? They keep talking about how they had good runs even without them, but who expected them to run poorly really? I mean come on..Its Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson. If anyone could overcome it, they can. They just need to let it go....

I am. it's done with. it isn't the end of the world. johnson is 4th in points and jeff is still leading so i don't get why people think it's such a big deal anymore.

there was penalties at daytona they weren't talked about as much or vickers or busch, sauter penalties or the jr. penalties!!! Maybe because jeff was leading points but it still isn't that big of a deal there will ALWAYS be penalties in nascar!!!

well lets get to the bigger issue here, how important is a crew chief anyways, i agree that you can loos a race in the pits because of the pit crew not the chief and sure the pit crew need a leader, but really if a driver looses a crew chief and in so doing looses any chance of winning then that driver would be fired, just like the post race interview we did this and we did that, WE didn't go into the turn too hot and crash the guy on the high line, YOU did that and on the same token, WE didn't time the draft on the back straight to take the lead YOU did

This is a hot topic for now i think mainly because the 2 of them are made out to be all american good boys. Plus the fact that the #48 crew chief has been caught in the past. Neither one of these guys are the drivers that i am for but lets face it they are still good drivers.

It is because they want to keep reminding everyone that those teams don't have their crew chiefs because they cheated and still run well. The COT penalties are going to be the same it seems for once so they keep harping on it. Even about Jr's crew chief to. They need some new stuff to talk on, like who might cheat at Daytona...

Most of the people complaining are fans off another driver who isn't doing as well or need them to run bad to gain a few points on them but i didn't expect them to just tank the 6 races that they got suspended but i don't think they are going to keep running up front they will go through a slump and this isn't the time of year to have bad races. I don't think the top six or seven drivers have to worry about it right now because they are probably going to make the chase even if they finish outside the top 5 from here on out as long as they don't finish dead last a few times. Kyle Busch isn't going to make the chase they are going to fine him for " cheating " as they call it and he will lose his crew chief for a few races maybe but he is on a downward spiral and eventually Hendrick's is going to lock him out of the meetings just like they did to vicker's last year. Probably a couple of races before the chase starts it benefits them if junior makes it and Busch falling out would make junior safer. Clint Bowyer isn't going to make it either and i wish he could but i see him slumping in the next few weeks.

Really!!! The money is just a drop in the bucket for them and the suspension gives the crew chiefs time to see racing from a new perspective. They still have input into what goes on during the race. I guess news is news.

I love all the attention they are getting!! Well I guess thats because I am a Jeff Gordon fan. I mean I never expected them to run poorly, because its them, and because how their organization is, and how both of them are great drivers. I agree with you, if anyone could overcome it, they could. I just like how they are always speculating, but it shouldnt of happened in the first place.

I agree with Dodge9, its done its over with, when ever something happne in NASCAR that isn't good, I read about it on NASCAR.com then find out a little bit more on race weekend. After that I put it behind me, don't let it run your life.

I thinks it's dumb how they suspend them and still let them attend the race, even though they can't communicate on the team radio, they can still use Internet video conferencing and cell phones.
